A MESSAGE TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF OGBEKE/UKURUTA AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY AGBANI, ENUGU STATE
Restoring Our Electricity, Protecting Our Future
The President General of Ogbeke/Ukuruta Town Union, Honourable Jude Edeagu, and the entire Executive Committee wish to reassure all sons and daughters of Ogbeke/Ukuruta that efforts are ongoing to restore electricity to our community following the unfortunate theft of our community transformer.
The Town Union Executive Committee understands the hardship and inconvenience caused by the prolonged power outage and is working tirelessly to ensure that power is restored as soon as possible.
As part of the measures to prevent a recurrence, President General Honourable Jude Edeagu has commenced the er****on of strong iron barricades around the transformer installation area. This is to provide better protection for the replacement transformer when it is installed and safeguard this important community asset.
Our traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Igwe Okechukwu Nwobodo, is also actively supporting efforts towards the restoration of electricity and the overall development of Ogbeke/Ukuruta.
The President General therefore uses this opportunity to appeal to all sons and daughters of Ogbeke/Ukuruta, at home and in the diaspora, to support the Town Union Executive Committee in its ongoing efforts towards infrastructural development, security, peace and human development.
Development belongs to all of us.
The progress of Ogbeke/Ukuruta cannot be achieved by the Town Union alone. It requires the collective support, goodwill, cooperation and sacrifice of every responsible son and daughter of our great community.
Honourable Jude Edeagu further appeals to everyone to embrace love, peace, understanding and unity, because a united community is a stronger community.
Let us work together, support one another and protect what belongs to us.
Together, we can restore our light.
Together, we can protect our community.
Together, we can build a better and more prosperous Ogbeke/Ukuruta.
