Enugu Livestock & Ranching Project

The Enugu State Government is developing designated livestock ranches aimed at reducing open grazing and farmer-herder clashes.

The project is expected to support cattle rearing, milk and yoghurt production, beef processing, veterinary services and create jobs for young people.

If properly implemented, it could reduce the destruction of farmlands, improve livestock production and create more organised opportunities within the agricultural sector.

However, questions around land ownership, community protection and who benefits from the project will remain important.

Enugu International Hospital 🏥

Enugu is set to get a major healthcare upgrade with the proposed Enugu International Hospital, expected to have about 300 beds and facilities for heart care, dialysis, cancer treatment, CT/PET scans and other specialised services.

The big question, however, is simple:

Will the average Ndi Enugu be able to afford and access the care?

Because a world-class hospital isn't just about beautiful buildings and expensive equipment. The machines must work, specialists must be available, and patients shouldn't need to “know somebody” before getting proper treatment.

If everything works as planned, this could help reduce the number of Ndi Enugu travelling to Abuja or Lagos for treatment.

What do you think?
