“MY MOTHER TOLD ME NOT TO COME BACK HOME.”
A woman shared this:
“My husband lost his job, so we moved into my mother's house temporarily.
At first, everything was fine.
But after a few months, my mother started complaining that my husband was becoming a burden.
One evening, she called me privately and said:
‘You are my daughter, and you can stay here. But your husband cannot.’
I refused.
I told her that I married him when things were good, and I wouldn't abandon him because things had become difficult.
My mother then gave me an ultimatum:
‘If you choose him, don't come back to this house.’
I packed my things that same night and left with my husband.
Now, three years later, my husband has rebuilt his career and our marriage is stronger than ever.
But my mother still hasn't forgiven me for choosing my husband over her.
