In a bid to practise all I have learned from the SHE SPEAKS SUMMIT, I am currently learning from the online teaching training by Tech Savvy Academy organised by Limmy Gift Daniel .

The SHE SPEAKS Summit is not a Summit you'll attend and remain where you were , there's always this nudge, push, shove ....whichever it is, however there's a moving forward for every participant.😃😂😂

Learning to transition from the physical four walls of a classroom to the digital space to teach is a movement every 21st-century
teacher should make.
A lot of teachers shy away from the digital space, but for how long ?
AI , Google Classroom, technology, etc have all come to stay..

Embrace it and keep moving forward or be in denial and become a Dinosaur.....😂😃🤣🤣

By the time I went ahead to explain to Ms Adaora the benefits of getting feedback from her learners after teaching...
She was glad I called her into the office for this short one on one coaching session. 😅😍

I was glad I was able to teach her one or two things to put her through on how she'll go ahead to gather feedback from her learners.

I enjoined her to always give a class activity after teaching each lesson, that way she'll know how to modify her teaching methods to be tailor made for them . That way she'll also reinforce each learners learning style.
I encouraged her to remember that there are some feedbacks that should be recorded.

Ms Adaora with a broad smile 😃 thanked me profusely for the time out with her . She agreed that it was worth it, she promised to register for a one on one session with me to further guide her in the 21st-century leaning styles.

I was glad to be of help.

Then, I further explained to Ms Adaora that there are different types of feedbacks.
1. Ongoing feedback during the learning process, helping teachers adjust their instruction....is referred to as formative.

2. Evaluation of student learning at the end of a lesson, unit, or course. Comes up especially at the end of a term too or year....we call this summative feedback.

Ms Adaora was nodding away , showing that she understood what I was saying. 🤣🥰

That is exactly my goal.

Feedback is a crucial aspect of the learning process.
It allows teachers to understand the effectiveness of their teaching methods .....do the children understand what is being taught? It is not enough to ask that old age question..." Do you understand?" Then everyone will chorus..."Yes we do !"
Meanwhile, half of the class does not have an understanding of what you're talking about. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 do you feel me?

So the teacher should give tests, quizzes, class activities to get the necessary feedback from them
and make necessary adjustments.

Feedback from learners provides valuable insights into their needs, interests, and learning styles.

This was what I calmly explained to Ms Adaora when I eventually called her into my office. 😍
I am not done with my explanation, by the time I'm done with her ...she'll have known what feedback is, it's importance and benefits.

Why do Routines matter in class dear teacher?

Routines help create a structured and predictable learning environment, reducing chaos and increasing student engagement. It shows you know what you are doing, you are at the top of your game and you are in charge. 🥰 yep!

Tips for Establishing Routines
1. *Be consistent*: Establish clear routines and stick to them.... don't do one today, tomorrow you change..you are confusing both you and your learners.

2. *Communicate expectations*: Clearly explain routines and expectations to students. Let them know what is expected of them at every point in time , your class isn't a market square. 🙈

3. *Use visual reminders*: Use visual aids like charts or posters to remind students of routines. ...let them see it after you have told them. It helps in retention.

4. *Practice and reinforce*: Practice routines with your learners and reinforce them regularly.

Examples of Classroom Routines

1. *Morning routine*: Establish a consistent morning routine, such as taking attendance, many teachers now take attendance in their minds🙄😒, reviewing the daily schedule, or completing a morning task. Consistency will help them get used to it so much that even when you're not in the classroom....your children know what to do.

2. *Transition routines*: Use specific routines to transition between activities, such as clapping, ringing a bell, or using a timer. It helps you smoothly move from one activity to the next....don't be in charge of a mayhem 😂🤣

3. *End-of-class routine*: Establish a consistent end-of-class routine, such as cleaning up, reviewing the day's lessons, or assigning homework....shows you are organised.

By establishing these clear routines, teachers can create a structured and productive learning environment that supports student success. I'm sure you want success for your class? ...then follow these tips .

To create a positive and productive learning environment, it's also essential to have a positive and inclusive environment.

Teachers play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive environment in the classroom, which is essential for fostering social-emotional learning, academic success, and a sense of belonging among learners.

🚩To achieve this, teachers can start by establishing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where every child feels valued, respected, and supported.

🚩We can do this by using inclusive language, displaying diverse materials and resources, and encouraging open communication.

🚩 Teachers can also promote positive relationships among learners by facilitating group work, role-playing, and class discussions...

🚩These are collaborative learning styles that foster 21st-century learning skills that focus on empathy, kindness, and conflict resolution.
