A few days back we had the opportunity to photograph the Home coming and award ceremony of the department of Physics and Astronomy UNN. This happened to be the first home coming since the inception of the department which is over 50 years now, so it was such a remarkable event.
In attendance were the likes of
1.Prof PN Okeke who is our father of physics, we only know him as the icon who wrote our NEW SCHOOL PHYSICS of those years. And his wife
2. Rev Prof Barr Paul Obayi (okunerere) who was the spiritual father of the day
3. Nsukka local government chairman Engr Jude Asogwa
4. Prof Alex Animalu
And many more dignitaries. It was such a great thing to witness our education founding fathers being honored for their outstanding accomplishments over the years. It also gives us hope that education is not a SCAM as we tend to believe, it has just moved beyond the four walls of a classroom to a digital form.
