She borrowed money to buy pad.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO BEFORE YOU GRADUATE...?

Today in our WhatsApp group, one of my coursemates said we need to pay 6k for a course that requires us to travel for our Industrial training and tour trip.

And this is after we’ve already paid 12k to register the course, and about 10k on a business plan presentation course…

And that’s not even including school fees and other personal expenses

And in my mind I said,

“All these expenses—in a country where jobs are hard to find?”

People are spending millions of naira just to go to school,
Hoping that one day they’ll graduate and get a job with a good salary.

But the truth?

Many courses are not even appreciated,
And a lot of graduates still end up unemployed.

Now don’t get me wrong—
I’m not saying school is bad.

Education is very important, and everyone should get it.

But if you can invest millions into a school system that only promises a better future,
Why is it so hard to invest just a small amount in learning a skill that can help you make money—even while you’re still in school?

Dear student, don’t wait till you graduate.
Learn a skill now.
Start small.
So that even if school doesn’t pay off the way you hope, you won’t be stranded.
