NAFDAC notifies the public of the sale of confirmed substandard and falsified ARTEMETRIN DS and CIPROFIT 500 in Nigeria.
The ARTEMETRIN DS (Artemether/Lumefantrine) tablet (80mg/480mg) is labelled manufactured by A.C. DRUGS Ltd, Plot C5/C6 Old Airport Road, Emene- Enugu State, Nigeria.

Also, the CIPROFIT 500 (Ciprofloxacin Tablet USP 500mg) is labelled manufactured by Impact Pharmaceutical Ltd, No. 33A/33B Standard Industrial Layout Emene- Enugu State, Nigeria.

Both products were initially subjected to Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC), which showed indications of irregularities on both products, thereby prompting further analysis at a WHO-prequalified laboratory. The results of the HPLC assay confirmed the following:
โ€ขโ€“ ARTEMETRIN DS (Artemether/Lumefantrine) tablets (80mg/480mg) contain only 59.2% Artemether and 71.2% Lumefantrine, outside the expected 90-110% limits.
โ€ขโ€“ CIPROFIT 500 (Ciprofloxacin Tablet USP 500mg) contained only 5.7% of Ciprofloxacin, outside the expected 90-110% limits.

It is important to note that the products were purchased from a โ€œlicensed vendor and wholesalerโ€. The products do not exist on the NAFDAC registered products database, and all NAFDAC Registration Numbers stated on both products are false.

If you possess any of the products listed above, stop selling or using them immediately and return your stock to the nearest NAFDAC office. If you or someone you know has used any of these products and experienced adverse reactions, we strongly advise seeking immediate medical attention from a qualified healthcare professional.

How Power_Autos was killรฉd inside University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) on Friday Night .

Faculty of Arts organized a Bonfire night.

The event took place at the Archaeology Department opposite UBA Hall of Fame UNN

Both Power_Autos and the alleged killรฉrs Daddy_Yo or called Onyeka are not students of UNN.

Power_Autos is from Lejja Nsukka and the killรฉr Daddy_Yo is from Umudiaka Nsukka.

When the bonfire was going on, Power_autos wanted to go home with his own friends and his GLK scratched the other guys car.

The had a minor issues which reports indicate that the university security team had initially intervened and de-escalated the situation immediately.

When Power_Autos was going with his own friends inside same UNN environment, those guys double-Crossed them with 3 cars.

The other guys inside Power_autos car ran away sensing danger and Power autos came out from the steering to know what is happening and they immediately s lรฌ t his thr oat with knรฌ fe and he d ied instantly.

They immediately took off and on their way running their own car fell inside the gutter within same UNN environment. They left it and took off.

UNN security was alerted, immediately the CSO Kris Alumona sent signal and all exit inside UNN was blocked.

On their way running outside UNN gate thru Odenigwe gate axis they were all apprehended and 4 among them were arrested and currently at state CID Enugu.
