Not because she hadn’t seen it—but because opening it would make it real.

Every morning, she woke up to the quiet side of the bed, her fingers instinctively reaching for a warmth that no longer existed.

The house still held his laughter in its walls, his footsteps in the hallway, his unfinished promises hanging in the air like dust that refused to settle.

They didn’t end with a fíght.

There was no dramatic goodbye.

Just silençe… the kind that slowly replaces love without asking for permission.

He had said, “I’ll come back when I figure myself out.”
And she had smiled, preténding she wasn’t breáking.

Days turned into weeks. Weeks into months.
And somewhere in between, she stopped asking when… and started asking why she was never enough to stay for.

Still, she kept the message unopened.
Because as long as it stayed that way,
a part of her could believe he was still trying to come back…
instead of already góne.

Sometimes, the hárdest thing isn’t letting go… it’s accepting that they already did. 💔
