"Please, don't quit drumming because you are left-handed." 😉🥁

You've come too far to just say "it's over, I quït."

There are alot of successful left-handed musicians; Bassists, talk more of drummers. Guy, dem choke! (They are plenty).

Some guy I met two weeks ago after church service, he's still a young boy. This were his words as he directed his question to me while I packed to head back home "How long will it take me to learn Lead guitar?".

At first, I didn't know I was the one he was asking because he was initially talking to someone else. So, he had to touch me. "Mmm.., sorry what were you saying," a cue that I didn't hear him clearly the first time. This time, he repeated the same question, showing how serious my answer will mean to him.

We had to outside and talk. I later discovered that this guy really wanted to play the drums but his problëm was his left-hand, so, he wanted to leave drums and go learn Lead guitar. 😂 (As if that's where he won't still run away from).

He told me that when he tries holding a makossa groove, he will either be missing beats or get tired immediately due to the position of the Hi-hat and Snare drum.

I didn't have any ready answer to give him, so, I had to go on YouTube and browse for some videos of left-handed drummers. I showed him some of them and the ease at which the played with. I was happy he had this fresh believe that he can do this.

Keep practicing (the right way) and if you loose energy always, go and eat first. 😂🔥

One thing was common watching this people. I think their excellence came from the way they viewed and Interacted with their drums.

They are left-handed already. They had to accept that fact and develop on their craft. See, doubt is one of the main factors that births fault-finding and unnecessary issues.

I'm a right-handed drummer, but it still doesn't stop me from replicating/attempting on my left-hand, whatever I played on my right. You just need to have the rudimentary knowledge.

What do you do as a when the goes off time, and the loop(click track) is controlled by the sound engineer(studio or console room) and the sound engineer had stepped out at the time this was happening?

Sound engineer: I went to the rest room..
Drummer: .................................................

What would be your reaction or comment as a drummer?? 😂😂😂😂🧐🧐🧐

The true character of a drummer comes from his humility, attitude affection and interactions with people in church and also outside the church
