Nigerian Cinemas joins Cinemas in UK and USA to announce "The Nigeria Cinema Day" which takes place on Saturday, September 2, 2023. This is a global day that aims to reward cinema goers and bring back old customers with discounted ticket prices.

The Cinema Exhibitor's Association of Nigeria welcomes moviegoers to celebrate a day at the movies with discounted tickets of N1000 to kick-off the first Nigeria Cinema Day, on Saturday September 2, 2023.

QUADRI ADEWUNMI HUSSAINAT otherwise known as 'ADUNBLACK is a lover of Art and Entertainment, a Nigerian filmmaker, Certified Production designer and Art director for film and TV, Music, an Actor, Model, Marketer, and Alté Stylist.

Alumni of the and she is a production designer, Propmaster, SFX, and an award winner for Hair and Makeup For the short film

She has been featured in other films as an actor in Last Call, Trip to Festac, Unfriendly Frenemies, Oloture and many more.

Worked as an Art director and production designer for the film FROM THE SHADOWS

A Creative’s Journey is a Documentary that mirrors the life of Creatives; their struggles, ambitions, aspirations and inspiration.

In this case, we follow the journey of 8 students of the 8th intake of Ebony Life Creative Academy.

Web Series by Is a reflection of the average Lagosians’ daily survival battles and struggles, Yellow and Black Lagos, is more than just a comedy web series, It’s a window to the lives of Lagos drivers of different kinds – car drivers, okada (motorcycle) riders, marwa (tricycle) drivers, other car drivers (private, commercials, male and women etc).

It’s also a character study of Lagos passengers and a light master-class on Lagos and Nigeria traffic laws.

Meet Lucky Udo Enang (Mechanic) for

An Inebriated, Lost and inconsistent man

drunkard, Lucky is always sleeping in his workshop. Sir P choses him as his mechanic because he's as cheap as he's great at his job. All you need to get him to work for you is - buy him a favorite drink of his.

Nevertheless, he delivers late, rents out cars he's paid to repair and tend to forget absurd things inside people's vehicles.

Lucky also tends to forget his agreement with customers. So he might tell you the cost of his service is five hundred Naira before he starts work and tell you it's five thousand Naira when you show up to pick up your car. Although he always talk of quitting drugs and alcohol, he hardly stays away for more than twenty four hours

His character will give some people PTSD

Meet the conductor (Nwaotu), played by for

A 22 years commercial bus driver, and Sir P’s wife nephew

Wisdom (often called Nwaotu) was born and raised in Otu; a ghetto in Onitsha. He started schooling very late so at twenty two, he just finished his secondary school education.

After making nine Fs in his WASSCE and NECO, Nwaotu realized he didn’t have the brains for higher education.

Scared that Nwaotu might end up a street boy, his mom begged her sister to let Nwaotu live with her family.

When Sir P couldn’t find a trust worthy kid to make his conductor, she suggests Nwaotu.

Nwaotu moves in to Lagos where he starts his conductor career.
Although he’s new in Lagos, he’s never intimidated by other conductors. He doesn’t know his way around the big city, so he sometimes picks up passengers who are not going their way. He struggles with pronouncing the names of different bus stops so sometimes he spends more time
loading. He makes up for those challenges with his street smartness. Sometimes, his street smartness works for him. Other times, it worsens the situation.

We can’t wait for you to meet this interesting and annoying character. Lol!

Meet Bisola played by for

BISOLA ILUKA FABAYO (Nee Ugwu), in her late thirties, is half Igbo, half Yoruba. Born to a police father who was often transferred, Iya Tee grew up in lots of places. Sometimes with her parents, other times with her different relatives.

Her extended family members had different lifestyles, believed different things and practiced different religions. So she grew up confused about religion and many other things in life.

She met Sir P when he was still promiscuous. Although she knows he loves him, she’s always suspicious of his moves around other women.

She is a confused trader! 😂😂😂

DAMILOLA PIUS FABAYO also known as Sir P, Raised in a Lagos hood is a Commercial Driver in his mid- forties

Sir P is street smart. His street smartness earned him his first driving job even before he learnt driving. Although he had an accident and lost the job on his first day, that didn't stop him. He quickly learnt to drive from a neighbor of his, then got another driving job.

From working with different corporate brands, Sir P managed to learn packaging and curiosity.
