🔥 THIS IS CALLED THE “RING OF FIRE.” 🔥

If you’ve ever given birth vaginally, you may remember that moment when the baby’s head is coming through and you suddenly feel an intense burning and stretching sensation.

That moment is often called the “Ring of Fire.” 😭🔥

As the baby’s head crowns, the vaginal and perineal tissues stretch significantly. This is why the breathing and pushing techniques you learned during labour can be so important.

💨 Breathe. Pant. Stay focused.
Try not to panic or hold your breath unnecessarily as the baby crowns. Your midwife or doctor will guide you through those final pushes.

Sometimes the tissues may tear naturally, and in certain situations, a healthcare professional may recommend an episiotomy if medically necessary.

But can we pause for a moment? 🥹❤️

A woman can go through THIS much pain, fear, stretching and exhaustion… and still find the strength to bring another human being into the world.

WOMEN ARE AMAZING. ❤️👏🏽

To every mother who has experienced the Ring of Fire, whether once or several times…

YOU DESERVE YOUR FLOWERS. 🌹

Mothers, be honest 👇🏽
What was going through your mind when you felt that burning sensation during delivery? 😭😂

And if you’re yet to experience childbirth, what is the one thing about labour that scares you the most? 👇🏽
