Relationship Dynamics

THE PERSON YOU WANT TO MARRY WILL NOT BE THE SAME AFTER MARRIAGE

My dear single, I want you to think about this for a moment.

The person you are dating today—or hoping to marry—is still becoming.
And so are you.

Marriage will introduce new responsibilities, new experiences, new pressures, new seasons and new challenges.

The man you marry may become a father.
The woman you marry may become a mother.
Your finances may change.
Your priorities may change.
Your dreams may evolve.
You may discover strengths in each other that you never knew existed. You may also discover weaknesses that were not obvious before marriage.

You are not marrying a finished product.
You are marrying someone who will continue to grow and change.
And you will too.

So the question shouldn't only be:
“Will this person change after marriage?”
They will.

The better question is:
“What kind of person are they becoming?”
Are they teachable?
Are they willing to grow?
Can they receive correction?
Can they admit when they are wrong?
Do they have values that can withstand changing seasons?
Are they becoming more responsible and mature?

But there is another question I want you to ask yourself.
And this one may be uncomfortable:

“Will my values, attitude and character make this person a better person?”

Think about it.
Will your presence encourage growth?
Will your words build them up or constantly tear them down?
Will your attitude bring peace or unnecessary conflict?
Will your character inspire them to become better, or will your relationship bring out the worst in both of you?

Because marriage is not only about what your spouse will bring into your life.
It is also about what you will bring into theirs.

You are not only choosing the person you will live with.
You are becoming the person who will influence who they become.

So while you are asking God for the right spouse, don't forget to ask yourself:
“Am I becoming the kind of spouse I am praying for?”

This is just the beginning.
Follow this series. There is so much we need to talk about before you say, “I do.”

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN GOD FEELS SILENT?

You have prayed.
You have waited.
You have cried.
You have asked God for direction.

Yet everything still looks the same.

Does God's silence mean His absence?

Not necessarily.
Sometimes, spiritual readiness is learning to trust God even when you cannot yet see what He is doing.

Don't let a silent season convince you that God has forgotten you.
He may be silent, but He is not absent.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU GENUINELY COMMENDED YOUR SPOUSE?

Not because they bought something.
Not because they did something extraordinary.

Just because you noticed them.

“I noticed how hard you've been working lately. I appreciate you.”

“Thank you for always making sure the children are okay.”

“I really admire the way you handled that situation.”

Your spouse may not say it, but being seen feels good.

Don't let familiarity make you blind to the person you once prayed for.

Notice them. Appreciate them. Commend them.

❤️ Sometimes, a sincere word of appreciation can do what a long conversation cannot.

🎯 PURPOSE SERIES — WEEK 1

WHAT IF YOUR AMBITION IS CONNECTED TO YOUR PURPOSE?

You say:
“I want to build a big school.”
That's ambition.

But then I ask you:
Why?

Maybe you want to:Educate children.Create jobs.Solve an education problem.Give people opportunities you never had.

Now look again.
The school is your ambition.
The impact may be your purpose.
So perhaps purpose and ambition aren't enemies.

Sometimes, purpose is hiding inside your ambition, waiting for you to discover the “why” behind what you want to achieve.

Ask yourself today:
“What am I really trying to accomplish, and why does it matter?”

🧠 MENTAL READINESS

Stop waiting until you have everything you need before you start.

You may be dreaming of owning a pure water factory that requires millions of naira.

But what can you do with the ₦100,000 you have today?

Maybe it won't build the factory, but it could help you start small—with a cooler, a freezer, or another entry point into the business.

Readiness is not always in your pocket. Sometimes, it begins in your mind.

When you start with what you have, you gain experience, build capacity, understand the market, and position yourself for the next level.

Don't despise the small beginning because it doesn't look like the big dream.

Start where you are. Build what you can. Grow from there.

🧠 Mental readiness is learning to see possibilities where others see limitations.

❤️ EMOTIONAL READINESS
Wednesday.

They thought you were timid. They thought you lacked confidence. They thought you had low self-esteem.

They didn't know you were learning not to react to everything.

Sometimes, your silence is not weakness.
Your restraint is not fear.

You cannot control what people do to you, but you can choose what you do with what they do to you.

That's emotional strength. ❤️

💰 TUESDAY — FINANCIAL READINESS

Series: BUILDING YOUR FINANCIAL FOUNDATION
WEEK 1:

YOU DON'T HAVE AN INCOME PROBLEM. YOU MAY HAVE A MONEY-STRUCTURE PROBLEM.

You can earn more money and still remain financially stuck.
Why?

Because more income without financial structure can simply create more spending.

Financial readiness begins when you learn to:
Earn → Manage → Save → Reinvest → Grow

Before asking:
"How can I make more money?"
Ask:
"What am I doing with the money I already have?"

Your financial transformation doesn't begin when you become rich.
It begins when you become intentional with your resources.

🙏 MONDAY — SPIRITUAL READINESS

YOU CAN'T BUILD A STRONG LIFE WITH A WEAK INNER LIFE.

We spend so much time preparing for work, business, relationships and opportunities.

But how much time do we spend preparing our spirit?

Spiritual readiness is not just about attending church.

It is about developing a relationship with God that influences how you think, decide, respond and live.

Because when your inner life is neglected, eventually it shows up in your outer life.

You may have knowledge but lack wisdom.
You may have opportunities but lack direction.
You may have money but lack peace.
You may have relationships but lack discernment.

Your spiritual life is part of your overall transformation.

So this week, don't only ask:
"What do I need to achieve?"
Also ask:
"Who am I becoming before God while I pursue these things?"

A transformed life begins from within.
