In January, I had plans. A vision board, a few bold prayers, and a quiet confidence that this year would go exactly as I imagined.
But life has a way of shifting things. Some prayers were answered, some are still pending, and some plans had to be adjusted.
Now that it’s July, I’ve come to see the second half of the year differently, not as a continuation of what didn’t work, but as a fresh chance to realign, reset, and restart.
Your journey isn’t late. It’s just different. Stop comparing your path to someone else’s. Their timing isn’t yours, and that’s not a bad thing. You’re still on track.
And six months? It’s more than enough time to see real change. Businesses have been built in less. Healing has happened in less. People have learned new skills, started over, and found love, all in a matter of months. Don’t underestimate what can shift between now and December.
If there’s something you’ve been postponing; a project, a conversation, a move.. let July be your starting point. Perfect timing is a myth most times. This moment is enough.
Your progress may not look like everyone else’s, but it’s still valid. Maybe you didn’t hit the big milestones: marriage, house, promotion, but you paid off debt, found peace, or healed from something you never thought you’d recover from. That counts.
Remember: the people celebrating now once had seasons where they were waiting quietly too. You’re not being left behind. You’re just in a different chapter.
So take the pressure off. Focus on showing up a little more consistently. A little more intentionally. You don’t need to overhaul your life just yet, just move in the right direction, one step at a time.
You’re not out of time. You’re gaining wisdom. And the best part?
Your next is the best.
