NKST EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE FURTHER COMMISSIONS 4 CLASSROOM BLOCK WITH OFFICE ACCOMMODATIONS AT NKST COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES, MKAR.

This year could be marked as a year of developmental strides in the NKST institutions, as on 15th January, 2026, the NKST Executive Committee further visited NKST College of Nursing Sciences, Mkar, to also commission a 4 classroom block with office accommodations, constructed by the Atese Esther Akpagher led administration as she took over the mantle of leadership at the institution as Provost.

The Executive Committee led by Rev. Amb. Dr. Nendaga Asongo Adure, JP were received by the Chairman, NKST Central Board for Health, Rev. Moses Terra Zakaa , the Executive Secretary for Health, Rev. Ayangetor Ipeven, Local Board Chairman, Rev. Prof. Iorjaa and other members of the local the Local Board Chairman,, Rev. Prof. Iorjaa, the President of NKST, Rev. Amb. N. A. Adure, JP. performed the commisioning ceremony to the glory of God. The project was dedicated to the immediate past President of the Church, Rev. (Dr) Dominic Zurum Anza, JP during whose tenure in office, the School was upgraded to a full College by the Nursing Council of Nigeria and the Technical Board for Technical Education (NBTE)

Rev. Amb. N. A. Adure, on behalf of the Committee, expressed gratitude to God for His show of love to the Church and the abundant grace to enable the institution achieve that height. He also thanked the provost of the College, Atese Esther Akpagher together with her Management team for remaining focused and dedicated in order to make NKST proud.

NKST College of Nursing Sciences, Mkar, now offers Naional Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing. Other programmes at the College include, Community Nursing and Midwifery.

NKST EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE COMMISSIONS PROJECTS AT NKST COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY, MKAR.

NKST college of Health Technology, Mkar, today 14th January, 2026, played host to the Executive Committee of NKST Church. They were at the College to commission three gigantic projects executed by the Pharm. Walter Iorjiim, PhD led administration. The committee was received at the College by the Chairman, NKST Central Board for Health, Rev. M. T. Zakaa. On the ground also to receive them were, NKST Health Executive Secretary, Rev. U. I. Ipeven, the College local board chairman, Rev. Luther Mkaahan, the Provost, Pharm. W. Iorjiim, PhD. and his Management team as well as Staff and Students.

Upon receiving them, they were conducted round to the sites of the projects for commissioning. The exercise was performed by the President, Rev. Amb. Dr. Nendaga Asongo Adure, JP. in company of his Executive Committee.

Projects commissioned were the new constructed College gate, Dental Clinic with four newly installed Ultra modern Dental Chairs only obtainable at the College and ICT equipped Hall with over 200 newly installed Computers.

In appreciation of the efforts of the NKST to the growth of the College, the ICT Hall was named after Rev. Amb. Dr. Nendaga Asongo Adure, JP and the Dental Clinic after Rev. Titus Agesa Targba, JP respectively.

The National Board for Technical Education(NBTE), earlier in their visit to the College, had rated the ICT and the Dental Clinic the best in the North Central Region of Nigeria.

The President in his remarks, expressed satisfaction in the good initiative of Pharm. W. Iorjiim, PhD in moving the College forward. He also assured the College of their readiness to support the present in the actualization of its dream to making the college the best of its kind in Nigeria.

NKST COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY MKAR MATRICULATES 551 STUDENTS INTO VARIOUS PROGRAMMES

The ceremony took place today Friday, 12th December, 2025 at the College Campus. This makes it the 22nd Matriculation Ceremony of the College. Many dignitaries graced the occasion.

The Provost of the College, Pharm. Walter Mdekera Iorjiim who made the declaration, expressed gratitude to God for making the event a reality.

In his speech, the Provost also appreciated the Proprietor under the leadership of Rev. Amb. Dr. N. A. Adure, JP and his committee for standing firm to ensure the College strive.

He also appreciated the impactful support of the Benue State Government to the NKST Church in various ways particularly the deployment of Pharm. Walter Iorjiim who had worked in the College for 22 years before becoming the Provost..
The Provost further reminded the Students that their Matriculation was not just an exercise but to let them know that by their oath, they have committed themselves to learning, discipline, integrity and excellence. He also reminded them of the values of the College which is to provide holistic healthcare training to students and to ensure primary, secondary and tertiary Healthcare services, as well as to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The provost also used the opportunity to announce the approval of the National University Commission (NUC) for the College to run a Bachelor of Science degree programme in Public Health in collaboration with the University of Mkar, Mkar.

However, the Provost noted their challenge in infrastructural expansion to match the expanding vision of the College such as laboratories, hostels, improved lecture halls and upgraded utilities. And therefore, called on the Government to and the Proprietor to sustain and even deepen support to the College.
