PRESS STATEMENT

Since the announcement that the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction is working towards the payment of outstanding N-Power stipends this month, reactions among beneficiaries have been mixed.

While many beneficiaries remain hopeful and encouraged by the development, others are understandably skeptical due to previous assurances that did not result in payments. We recognize these concerns, as there have been several instances in the past when expected payment timelines were not met.

Nevertheless, there is a significant positive development that deserves attention.

First Positive Sign

This week, the Federal Government of Nigeria commenced the implementation of some programmes under the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), following a prolonged period of suspension. This represents an important milestone in the government's efforts to revive the country's social investment programmes.

The resumption of these programmes is a strong indication of the Federal Government's commitment to restoring NSIPA initiatives, including the N-Power Programme.

The National Association of N-Power Beneficiaries (NANBS) will continue to monitor developments closely and provide beneficiaries with timely, verified, and official updates. We encourage all beneficiaries to remain patient, stay hopeful, and avoid the spread of unverified information as we await further progress.
