Research shows that people with the genotype AA have lower resistance to Malaria parasite than the sickle carrier AS.

Malaria parasite, out of its life circle, live in the RBC( human red blood cells) in the sickle cell carrier individual there is destruction of RBC which lowers the tendency for the parasite to survive.

Men actually have lesser tendency to acquire Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) than females due to the following reasons;
1. Male have longer urethra; before the causating organism reach the bladder it would already be washed away by urine.
2. Female urethra have shorter distance to a**l ca**l than male urethra
3.The female urethra open into a moist environment which makes it more susceptible to microorganisms colonization.
