GOMBE: GOMBEGOVT./NEDC TRAIN ARABIC TEACHERS.

The state of emergency on the education sector in Gombe state is meant to scale up performance in all aspects of the sector, formal and informal.
This is evident in the collaborative force between the state government and the Northeast Development Commission -NEDC.

Abuubaida Danjuma Ladan reports that, the state government and the commission embark on training of Islamiyya and Tsangaya teachers, who would in turn train others across the Northeast subregion, under the Nigeria Arabic Language Village - NGALA initiative.

CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK: NEMA CHARGES STAFF ON IMPROVED SERVICE DELIVERY IN GOMBE

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, is calling for stronger commitment, timely response and improved service delivery in disaster management as it marks its 2026 Customer Service Week with the theme, “Go the Extra Mile.”

ACRESAL DISTRIBUTES PHONE TABLET FOR PROPER DATA COLLECTION.

To tackle underreporting and improve the accuracy of project data, the Gombe State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes project, ACReSAL, has distributed tablet devices to community groups, local government desk officers, media practitioners and other stakeholders to strengthen data collection, monitoring and reporting.

The distribution took place during a two-day capacity-building workshop in Gombe, organised by ACReSAL in collaboration with Jewel Environmental Initiative, JEI.

GOMBE GOVERNOR SENDS DELEGATION TO TUDUN HATSI, APPEALS FOR CALM

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has sent a high-powered delegation to Tudun Hatsi following tensions over the relocation of the grains market to a new site.

The delegation, led by senior government officials, met with community leaders and merchants convey the Governor’s concern and appeal for calm, assuring them of the government’s commitment to protecting lives, property and livelihoods.
