HON. JA'AFARU YAKUBU CHIROMA (ADC) EMPOWERED 500 YOUTHS AND WOMEN FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE THROUGH PRACTICE OF MODERN FARMING TECHNIQUES AND ICT TRAINING AND PROVISION OF LAPTOPS TO ENHANCE EMPLOYABILITY FOR 60 GRADUATES IN BALI/GASSOL CONSTITUTENCY.
A Training and practice of modern farming to 500 youth and women and ICT training of 60 graduates in Bali/Gassol federal constituency organized by NIOMA Sponsored by the humanitarian lawmaker, Hon. Ja'afaru Yakubu Chiroma (ADC) at N.U.T Hall Bali, Taraba State each participants from first category received a bag of Rice, millet and guinea corn and also a sum #50,000 cash as starter pack, the second category of the participants received Laptops with the sum of #20,000. The workshop was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Bali, Gassol members of the state House of Assembly, Taraba state deputy speaker, and key members of the people democratic party, the ruling party of the state.
However, Hon. Ja'afaru Yakubu Chiroma (ADC) said "the objective of the empowerments is to identify the practice of modern farming activities that will bring basic Agricultural products from production field to final consumption". "This will help the farmers to contribute to food security in various dimension of access, availability and increase quality of food production volume, diversification, generating higher income, reducing post-harvest losses and upgrading technologies for food maximum".
The Hon. Ja'afaru Yakubu Chiroma (ADC) also extend his profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Taraba state Lt. Col. Kefas Dantala Agbu (rtd), for his courage, commitment and support towards actualizing immense support towards actualizing the Agricultural transformation in the state for benefit of the entire people of Taraba State. Similarly, he thank the training partner the safechoice investment Limited for their support and encouragement on this noble cause of Training and re-training our people to help improve their knowledge and skills on modern farming techniques to restore their livelihood and produce more food to boost food security.
