The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd), has warned Nigerians against electing “criminal-minded individuals” into political office, emphasizing that credible leadership is essential for national progress.

Speaking in Abuja, he said Nigeria’s security situation is gradually improving under President Bola Tinubu, despite ongoing challenges. He added that the military is receiving stronger support and is collaborating with international partners to address insecurity.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says it is strengthening Ebola Virus Disease preparedness across all airports in the country to prevent any possible outbreak.

During a workshop held at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, FAAN and partner health agencies reviewed surveillance, screening, and emergency response systems aimed at improving early detection and containment.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has rejected allegations that Senator Seriake Dickson is working for President Bola Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

Party spokesman Abdulmumin Ohiare Abdulsalam says Dickson remains fully committed to the party’s ideals and is not acting as a government proxy. The NDC also confirmed ongoing consultations with Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso regarding its presidential ticket.
