UPDATE ON JAMB EXAM SLIP REPRINTING

There has been growing confusion about the UTME slip reprint, and here is the situation as it stands.

The portal appeared to open briefly, but it is still unclear whether anyone was actually able to successfully reprint their slips during that period. Shortly after, access became difficult, and at some point, candidates began seeing a “portal under maintenance” and then "reprinting closed."

As of this morning, the portal is still not going through.

From all indications, this seems to be a general technical issue, possibly due to heavy traffic or ongoing maintenance on JAMB’s end.

It is important to understand that situations like this are common during major exam processes.

We will share updates as soon as there is any clear development.

FOR US THAT WROTE AWAITING RESULTS IN DURING JAMB REGISTRATION WHEN WILL WE START UPLOADING IT

I have been getting this question a lot, and I want to address it properly so nobody panics or makes a mistake when the time comes.

First, the simple answer is you cannot upload your O'level result right now. You upload it the moment WAEC or NECO releases your result. That is your starting point. Once your result is out, you move and you move fast.

HERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW.

WHY DOES THIS EVEN MATTER?

I want you to understand the weight of this. It does not matter if you scored 280 or 300 in JAMB. Just know that Without your O'level result on your CAPS profile, no institution can offer you admission. Your CAOS will just sit there marked AWAITING RESULT, while other candidates move forward. JAMB needs that result to confirm you're qualify for your chosen course. It is not a formality. It is a requirement and compulsory

HOW DO YOU UPLOAD IT?

YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS.

The first is to do it yourself online. Go to efacility.jamb.gov.ng, log in with your email and password, click on Check Admission Status, then Access My CAPS, and then look for My O'Level Result. Select your exam body — WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, enter your exam number and the year you sat, then submit. JAMB will verify and pull your grades automatically from the exam body's database. If everything matches, your subjects and grades will appear on your screen. That means the upload worked.

If you're using this method, make sure your internet connection is stable and that the exam number you enter is correct. One wrong digit and the system will either fetch the wrong result, make sure to Double-check before you hit submit.

The second option is to visit an accredited JAMB CBT centre near you. Take your result printout. Tell them you want to upload your O'level result to your CAPS. The process takes under ten minutes at most centres. They will charge you somewhere between 500 and 1,500 naira depending on the centre. You do not need to bring your original certificate. A clear printout is enough.

AFTER UPLOADING, WHAT NEXT?

Go back to your CAPS the same day and verify. Log in, go to My O'Level Result, and check that your subjects and grades are showing correctly. If you still see Awaiting Result or nothing at all after 48 hours, return to the CBT centre or try the online upload again.

A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND.

Do not wait. The moment your result drops, go and upload it. Some institutions have internal deadlines for their admission processing, and a delayed upload can quietly cost you a slot OR NO ADMISSION which will never happens to you by God's grace

Do not guess your exam number. Retrieve it from your WAEC or NECO scratch card or your result checker. One wrong entry causes problems that take time to fix.

If you have results from two sittings, you can upload both. JAMB allows a maximum of two O'level results on your profile.

Lastly, once your result is uploaded and confirmed, relax. You have done your part. Focus on preparing for Post-UTME and keep watching this page for updates on admission timelines.

JAMB REGISTRATION HITS TWO MILLION, BOARD VOWS TO CLOSE PIN VENDING TOMORROW:

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that over two million candidates have already completed registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), surpassing figures from the same period last year.

JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, made the announcement during a training session for test developers at the University of Ibadan on Tuesday. He noted that the board has expanded its Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres from about 800 in 2025 to over 1,000 in 2026 to facilitate seamless registration and examination processes.

Prof. Oloyede reminded candidates that pin vending will close tomorrow, stressing that no extensions will be granted. He urged all candidates who have obtained their pins to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid missing out on the examination.

The registrar also issued a stern warning against examination malpractice, noting that any attempt to circumvent the system would be met with strict sanctions.
