The next day after settling in Teera, Asaburu went to the river to look for their source of water, but to his surprise he found a “mysterious drum”- Baradondon at the bank of the river. He took the drum home, and named it “demante”. However, the whereabout of this drum now is unknown, but some people said it is kept in Ilesha.
Asaburu’s stay in Teera was a prosperious one. He was there for many years and his fame reached every nooks and cranny of the Barutem. He had many wives, but was not initially blessed with children. When the problem persisted, Asaburu consulted many herbalists but no solution was found. As he still continued to move from one place to another, Asaburu later met a man who promised to assist, on condition he perform some rituals and eat dog meat. Asaburu quickly accepted to perform the rituals and also to eat the dog meat, hence the beginning of eating dog meat by members of Moro Yara clan. However, it should be noted that dog eating was not their tradition, but circumstances.
Asaburu was blessed with many children. He had Woru Waagi, the crown prince, Bio Moro, a son of his wife from Bueeru (near Nikki) and Tooru, popularly known as Sabi Yakunbua-“the usurper”. Bio Moro had other siblings but all died in their infancy.
After the death of Asaburu, as tradition allows, all his children were given the opportunity to vie for the throne. They therefore went to Nikki for the installation of his successor. The procedure for crowning a new king was by placing the royal cloth, known as Sataku on the head of every prince kneeling before the Sinaboko. The process commences by placing the cloth on the head of the prospective king first and then, it goes round for three times. On the final round, the cloth would be cover on him.
