Being around children has taught me a valid lesson on not taking things for granted.
The happiness the children bring cannot be traded for anything. The lesson is: Make the best of whatever you do!

Do you truly prefer a quiet classroom or a buzzing one? A well‑managed classroom or a chaotic one? Have you tried creating a child‑friendly environment? Do you always monitor your voice level? When you shout at children, they often shout back. So how can we cultivate a calm, engaging classroom? Talk nicely to the children — and stop shouting when you speak to them. Do you agree?

Try this 5 Step Approach

1. Use Voice modulation: Using a calm tone encourages respectful communication; shouting can trigger escalation.
2. Use clear, calm instructions.
3. Employ non‑verbal cues (eye contact, gestures).
4. Implement “quiet signals” the class recognizes.
5. Provide positive reinforcement for respectful behaviour.

Do you behave like me?

I often encourage the children to take regular water breaks, yet I sometimes forget to follow the same practice myself. Water is indeed life. When you remind the children in your class to drink water, take the opportunity to hydrate yourself as well — water is life!”

Have you ever thought of acting like a clown around your children?

Behaving like a clown:

- Captures attention — playful, humorous behaviour can engage children and make lessons more memorable.
- Boosts mood — laughter can reduce anxiety and create a relaxed environment that helps some kids absorb information better.
- Encourages creativity — seeing “clown‑like” imaginative play might spark creative thinking.

So, make your classroom fun and engaging!

Breaking News!

Reflection Wednesday!

The country's last glimmer of hope is about to be dashed as the Super Eagles boycott training 2 days before their match with Gabon due to unpaid allowances.

Should the Super Eagles have selected a different time to express their grievances?

What is the reason behind the delay in payment of their allowances?

The situation necessitates reflection. Do we stand a chance of qualifying at this juncture?

Happy Wednesday, Friends!
