Today’s Message Titled: Greater Grace
Text: James 4:6 “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’”

Introduction: Beloved, Grace is one of the most powerful gifts God has given to humanity. It's His unmerited favor we didn’t earn it, and we don’t deserve it. From salvation to daily strength, grace carries us. But James 4:6 reveals a deeper dimension: “He gives more grace” or as some versions say, “greater grace.” This means that no matter what challenges we face, no matter how much we have already received, there is still more grace available.
Today, we will explore what greater grace is, why we need it, and how to walk in it.

What Is Greater Grace?
Greater grace is the abundant, ever-increasing supply of God’s strength, mercy, power, and favor especially in times of trial, weakness, or spiritual warfare.
Romans 5:20 (b) “But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.”
This means that God’s grace is not only sufficient it’s overflowing. He doesn’t just meet the need; He exceeds it.

Biblical Examples:
Paul’s Thorn (2 Corinthians 12:9): “My grace is sufficient for you.” Even in weakness, God's grace was greater.
Peter’s Restoration (John 21): After denying Jesus, Peter received grace not only to be forgiven but to lead.

Illustration: Think of God’s grace like an ocean. No matter how much you take, it doesn’t run dry. Greater grace is the reminder that God never runs out of mercy, strength, or love for His people.

Why Do We Need Greater Grace?

Because we face greater battles.
Life is not getting easier. There are spiritual, emotional, and physical battles we must endure and the enemy is relentless. But greater grace equips us to stand strong.

Because pride is always a threat.
James 4:6 says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Pride cuts us off from grace. Humility is the gateway to greater grace.
Because our calling is higher.
As God lifts you higher in influence, responsibility, or ministry, you need greater grace to remain faithful and fruitful.

How Do We Access Greater Grace?
*Through Humility
James 4:6 connects humility with access to grace. You can’t earn grace, but you position yourself for it through humility.
Humility in prayer acknowledging you need God.
Humility in relationships choosing love over being right.
Humility in trials trusting God even when you don’t understand.

*Through Surrender
Romans 12:1 tells us to offer our lives as a living sacrifice. The more we yield, the more grace flows.

*Through Faith
Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence…”
We access grace by believing that God is good and that He will give us what we need.

Conclusively:
A Call to Receive Greater Grace
You may be feeling like you're at the end of your strength emotionally drained, spiritually tired, or overwhelmed by life. But the good news is: there is greater grace available for you today.
Not just grace to survive but grace to thrive, grace to overcome, grace to grow, grace to forgive, grace to begin again.

Finally Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Let’s pray:
“Lord, thank You for Your grace and thank You that there is more! Today I humble myself before You. I can’t do this without You. Pour out Your greater grace in my life grace to overcome sin, grace to heal, grace to walk in Your calling. I receive it now, by faith. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Today’s Sermon Titled: “Shekinah Glory: Living in the Presence of God”
Texts:
Exodus 24:16-17 – “The glory of the Lord dwelt on Mount Sinai...”
2 Chronicles 7:1-3 – “...the glory of the Lord filled the house.”
John 1:14 – “...we have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only...”
Romans 8:11 – “...He who raised Christ... will also give life to your mortal bodies...”

Definition of Shekinah Glory: The word Shekinah is not found in the Bible but is a rabbinic term that means “the dwelling” or “settling” of the divine presence of God.
God’s glory is not just a concept; it's an experience—seen as cloud, fire, brilliance, or a deep sense of His holy presence.

1. The Shekinah Glory in the Old Testament
Mount Sinai (Exodus 24): The cloud covered the mountain; God’s glory appeared like fire.
Tabernacle & Temple (Exodus 40, 2 Chronicles 7): The glory filled the tabernacle so the priests couldn’t enter.
Key Point: God desires to dwell among His people, not just visit them.

2. The Shekinah Glory in Christ
John 1:14 – “The Word became flesh and dwelt (tabernacled) among us…”
Jesus is the embodiment of God’s glory – not just a reflection.
At the Mount of Transfiguration, the disciples saw His glory (Matthew 17).

3. The Shekinah Glory in the Believer
1 Corinthians 6:19 – “Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit…”
The same glory that filled the temple now fills the temple of your body by the Holy Spirit.
God doesn’t just want to visit your life on Sundays—He wants to dwell within you daily.

4. Living in the Glory
Sanctification: The glory of God purifies – we must live consecrated lives.
Worship: True worship invites the manifest presence of God (Psalm 22:3 – “God inhabits the praises…”).
Revival & Power: When God’s glory manifests, lives are changed (Acts 2 – tongues of fire = Shekinah imagery).

Conclusion:
The Shekinah Glory is not just about clouds and fire—it’s about intimacy with the Father.
Are you hosting God’s presence, or just visiting Him occasionally?
Call to Action: Invite the glory of God to dwell in your life—through repentance, worship, and surrender.

Let us Pray:
“Lord, we long not just for a visitation but a habitation of Your glory. Fill us with Your presence. Let our lives become living tabernacles where Your Shekinah Glory dwells. Amen.”

Happy New Month of August

Sermon Title: August Visitor
Scripture Text: Genesis 18:1-15
(The Lord Visits Abraham)
"The Lord appeared to Abraham...as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day." Genesis 18:1

Introduction:
There are certain moments in life that don’t just mark a date on the calendar they mark a turning point in your destiny. For some, that moment may come in a conversation. For others, it might be during a service, a dream, or a divine encounter. Today, I want to speak about an August visit a moment of divine visitation that changes everything.

Whether you're in a season of waiting, questioning, or feeling forgotten, I believe God still shows up sometimes quietly, sometimes suddenly, but always purposefully.

1. The Unexpected Timing of God
“In the heat of the day…” (Genesis 18:1)

Abraham wasn’t doing anything special. It was just another hot, ordinary day. Yet that’s when God showed up.

August is often a slow month hot, weary, routine. But sometimes it’s in the quiet, in-between seasons that God visits in a way that shifts everything.

Point: God often moves when we least expect it.
Encouragement: Don’t despise the mundane moments they may carry your miracle.

2. The Promise Comes Back to Life
“I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Genesis 18:10)

This was not the first time God promised Abraham a son. But this time, it felt more real it had a timeline.

Some of you have had promises spoken over your life that seem dead.
August could be the moment God reaffirms His word to you.
Sarah laughed but God’s word still stood.
God doesn’t forget what He promises.

3. A Visit That Demands Hospitality
Abraham didn’t recognize at first who his visitors were but he chose to serve, to welcome, to make room.

Are you making room in your life for a divine encounter?
Sometimes God's visit will come disguised as a stranger, a challenge, or even an interruption.
“Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” Hebrews 13:2

4. Laughter Restored
“Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14)
Sarah laughed in disbelief, but by the next year, her laugh was real joy.
An August visitation can turn sorrow into laughter, doubt into testimony.

Conclusion:
This August might seem ordinary, but God moves in ordinary months.

Be watchful.
Be welcoming.
Be willing to believe again.
You never know what a single divine visit can set in motion.

Reflect: Is there a word God gave you that you’ve let go of?

Pray: Ask God to “visit” your home, your heart, your situation this August.
Trust: Even if it’s been a long wait, God is not late.

Sermon Title: "Peace in the Night"

Text: Psalm 4:8 “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.”

Introduction:
As the sun sets and darkness spreads across the sky, our bodies begin to slow down, and our hearts prepare for rest. But for many, night is not always peaceful. It can be a time when anxiety grows louder, when loneliness creeps in, or when regrets from the day replay in our minds.

Yet God offers us something different peace even in the night. A kind of rest that no pillow or blanket can fully provide. A rest that reaches deep into the soul.

1. The Night Reminds Us of Our Limits
At night, we must let go of control. We stop working, stop striving, and admit that we can’t keep everything together. In that vulnerable moment, we’re reminded of our need for God.

Psalm 121:4 “Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

While we rest, God stays awake. He doesn’t need sleep, and He doesn’t miss a thing. That’s why we can lie down in peace.

2. God's Presence is Strong in the Stillness
Often in the stillness of night, God speaks most clearly. There’s less noise, fewer distractions.

1 Kings 19:12 Elijah heard God not in the fire or wind, but in the gentle whisper.

At night, God may whisper to you through Scripture, through a memory, or through a moment of quiet conviction or comfort.

Let the stillness of night be a time of spiritual awareness, not just physical rest.

3. Let Go of the Day's Burdens
Nighttime is a time to release to let go of what you cannot change and entrust it to the One who holds the future.

1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Before sleep, take a moment to confess sins, surrender worries, and thank God for His faithfulness through the day.

Consider adopting a simple prayer before bed:
"Lord, thank You for this day. Forgive my failings. Keep me in Your peace. I trust You with what I cannot control."

4. Tomorrow Belongs to God
Rest is an act of trust. By choosing to sleep, we are saying, “God, I believe You’ll take care of me until the morning.”

Lamentations 3:22-23 “His mercies are new every morning.”

When you wake up, it will be to fresh mercy. So don’t carry today’s troubles into tomorrow. Rest in His promise that the morning will bring grace enough for the new day.

Thoughts:
As you prepare for sleep tonight, remember:

God is awake while you rest.
You are not alone in the darkness.
His peace is stronger than your fear.
His presence is real, even in silence.

Let your bed be an altar tonight a place where you release everything and receive His peace.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for being with us through this day. As we enter the stillness of night, we surrender our burdens to You. Quiet our minds, calm our hearts, and guard our rest. May we sleep in peace, trusting fully in Your care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sermon Title:
"Right Stand With God"

Text:
Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
By: Rev'd Chukwunagolu Obinna

Introduction:
Beloved, one of the most important questions any believer can ask is this: “Am I in right standing with God?”
In a world where people seek approval from men, platforms, and systems, the true question that heaven is asking is: Are you in right standing with God?

To be in right standing with God means to be in a correct, acceptable, and justified relationship with Him. It's about alignment where your heart, your life, and your choices reflect God’s holiness and grace.

I. What Does It Mean to Be in Right Standing With God?

1. Justification by Faith
Romans 5:1 tells us that we are justified made right by faith, not by works.
Justification is the legal act of God declaring a sinner righteous.
This means God no longer sees our sin, but sees us through the righteousness of Christ.

2. Peace With God
Being in right standing removes the hostility between man and God.
Colossians 1:21–22 “And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind... yet now He has reconciled.”

3. Living a Life That Pleases Him
1 John 2:6 “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
Right standing will reflect in your lifestyle obedience, holiness, prayer, and love.

II. Why Is It Important to Be in Right Standing With God?

1. Eternal Security
Without right standing, a person is spiritually dead, no matter their religious activity (Matthew 7:21–23).
Heaven is only open to those who are washed and justified in Christ (Revelation 21:27).

2. Access to God's Presence and Power
Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace…”
A right standing gives you bold access to God's presence in prayer, worship, and spiritual authority.

3. Divine Favor and Blessing
Psalm 5:12 “For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.”
God delights in those who walk righteously and obey Him.

III. How Can We Come into Right Standing With God?

1. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
John 14:6 “No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
It begins with a new birth being born again by faith in Jesus.

2. Confess and Turn From Sin
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us…”
You can’t walk in sin and stand right with God at the same time.

3. Live by the Spirit, Not the Flesh
Romans 8:1 “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

4. Walk in Continuous Fellowship With God
Regular prayer, Bible study, obedience, and staying in God’s presence keeps your standing right.

IV. Signs That You Are in Right Standing With God

You have peace in your spirit.
You hate sin and love righteousness.
You are spiritually hungry for God’s Word and presence.
You walk in humility and repentance.
You see transformation in your life.

Conclusion:
Beloved, heaven is watching. God is not asking if you go to church, sing in the choir, or give in the offering He’s asking if you are in right standing with Him.

It’s not too late to make things right.
👉 If you've wandered from the path, return today.
👉 If you're unsure of your standing, examine yourself today.
👉 If you are right with God, guard it with all your heart.

Bow your heads and pray:
"Lord Jesus, I come before You. I desire to be in right standing with You. Forgive me for every sin, every compromise, every disobedience. Wash me with Your blood. Justify me by Your grace. Help me to walk in righteousness and holiness all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen."

I Charge you reading this:
Stand right with God, and you'll stand tall before men.
Align with God, and He will align your destiny.
Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all other things shall be added to you.
