The body of a National Youth Service Corps member, identified simply as Joseph, has been discovered in his residence in Benue State, two days after he reportedly passed away.
The incident was made public by Takema Akom Smith, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, through a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. According to him, the young corps member is believed to have died in his sleep.
Before his death, Joseph was serving at a rehabilitation hospital located in Mkar, within the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.
