Let me be honest about how I would react in this situation.

If I discovered my girlfriend was secretly sending money to her ex behind my back, how would I feel?

Honestly, my first reaction would be to question the trust in the relationship.

The issue here might not even be the money.

The real problem is the secrecy.

If she truly believed it was harmless, why keep it hidden?

Helping someone who is struggling isn't necessarily wrong.

But when it's an ex… and your partner doesn't know about it… that changes the dynamics completely.
