💚Love Beyond Boundaries 🥀
By:Umu Zubina
Chapter 12
Asmah walked into the conference room, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. She had been looking forward to this team meeting all week, and she was eager to discuss her project with Junaid and the rest of the team.
Junaid was already seated at the table, his laptop open in front of him. He smiled as Asmah entered, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of ease with Junaid. "Assalamu alaikum," she said, taking a seat across from him.
Junaid nodded, his eyes locked on hers. "Wa alaikum as-salam," he replied.
The rest of the team filed in, and they began to discuss Asmah's project. Junaid was impressed by her ideas and insights, and he offered valuable suggestions and guidance.
As the meeting progressed, Asmah found herself feeling more and more comfortable with Junaid. She was impressed by his intelligence and expertise, and she appreciated his kind and respectful demeanor.
But as the meeting came to a close, Asmah's colleague, Amira, pulled her aside. "Asmah, can I talk to you for a minute?" she asked, her voice low and serious.
Asmah nodded, feeling a sense of curiosity. "What's up, Amira?" she asked.
Amira hesitated, looking around nervously. "I just wanted to warn you about Junaid," she said. "I've heard rumors that he's looking for a wife, and I don't want you to get hurt."
Asmah's eyes widened in surprise, and she felt a flutter in her chest. She hadn't considered the possibility that Junaid might be interested in her romantically.
But as she thought about it, Asmah realized that she wasn't interested in Junaid in that way. She valued their professional relationship, and she didn't want to compromise it.
"Thanks for warning me, Amira," Asmah said, smiling. "But I think I can handle myself."
Amira nodded, looking relieved. "I just want to make sure you're okay," she said.
Asmah smiled, feeling grateful for her friend's concern. "I appreciate that, Amira," she said. "But I think I've got this one covered."
Asmah walked back to her desk, feeling a sense of clarity and purpose. She was determined to maintain a professional relationship with Junaid, and she was confident that she could do so.
But as she sat down at her desk, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity about Junaid's personal life. Was he really looking for a wife? And if so, what kind of woman was he looking for?
Asmah pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on her work instead. She had a lot to do, and she didn't want to let her personal curiosity get in the way.
Just as she was getting into her work, Asmah's phone rang. She picked it up, expecting it to be one of her colleagues or maybe even her mother.
But to her surprise, it was Junaid on the other end. "Asmah, I hope I'm not interrupting anything," he said, his voice warm and friendly.
Asmah smiled, feeling a sense of pleasure at the unexpected call. "Not at all, Junaid," she replied. "I was just getting back to work."
Junaid chuckled. "I'm glad I didn't interrupt anything important," he said. "I was just calling to follow up on our meeting earlier. I wanted to make sure you had everything you needed to move forward with your project."
Asmah felt a sense of appreciation for Junaid's consideration. "Thank you, Junaid," she said. "I really appreciate your support."
Junaid smiled, his voice warm and friendly. "You're welcome, Asmah," he said. "I'm always here to help."
As they wrapped up their conversation and said their goodbyes, Asmah couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for Junaid's kindness and support.
As the days went by, Asmah found herself growing more and more comfortable with Junaid. They would often meet to discuss her project, and she would leave their meetings feeling inspired and motivated.
But despite her growing comfort with Junaid, Asmah couldn't help but notice the struggles of those around her. Her friends, Aliyah and Rashid, were going through a tough time in their marriage.
Aliyah had been feeling overwhelmed with work and taking care of their two young children, and Rashid had been struggling to find a new job after being laid off from his previous one. The stress and tension had been taking a toll on their relationship.
Asmah had been trying to be supportive, inviting Aliyah over for coffee and listening to her vent about her frustrations. But she knew that she couldn't fix the problems in their marriage on her own.
One day, as Asmah was leaving the office, she ran into Junaid in the parking lot. "Asmah, how are you?" he asked, smiling.
Asmah smiled back, feeling a sense of warmth towards him. "I'm good, Junaid," she said. "Just worried about my friends, Aliyah and Rashid. They're going through a tough time in their marriage."
Junaid's expression turned serious, and he nodded thoughtfully. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said. "Marriage can be challenging, but it's also a beautiful blessing from Allah."
