Brilliant Zacch Adedeji; He Cleared All Doubts With Facts.

It was an impressive and engaging evening as the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji, sat down with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels Television's Sunday Politics to break down the true state of the Nigerian economy.

With clarity and confidence, the NRS boss walked Nigerians through the remarkable turnaround in government revenue from a monthly allocation of about ₦700 billion in 2023 to an impressive ₦4.5 trillion today, representing over 530 percent growth. He urged Nigerians to judge the administration's reforms by verifiable data rather than sentiment, describing the transformation as a gradual but deliberate process.

According to him, President Tinubu's bold and often difficult economic decisions reflect the courage of a true statesman, one willing to prioritize Nigeria's long-term interest over short-term political convenience.

No doubt, President Tinubu continues to surround himself with brilliant minds who deliver results.

Gives Ibadan Motor Parts Dealers N90m Support, Donates 100 Solar Lights

The All Progressives Congress candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Aderemi Oseni, has announced a N90 million support package for motor parts dealers at Araromi Gate Market in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Oseni, who represents Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, announced the package on Saturday during an engagement with traders at the market.

The intervention comprises a N50 million interest-free revolving loan and a N40 million grant for traders across the four major sections of the market — car, lorry, tyre and iron.

In addition to the financial support, Oseni donated 100 solar-powered streetlights to the market and pledged to take responsibility for the monthly salaries of the market’s Baale and chiefs.

He said the initiative was aimed at supporting the traders, strengthening their businesses and improving their contribution to the local economy.

Oseni said, “The motor parts dealers are critical drivers of the local economy. We must continue to support them so that they can expand their businesses, improve their livelihoods and contribute more to the economy.”

He explained that the N50 million revolving loan would be given to the traders without interest, while the N40 million grant would provide additional support for businesses across the four sections of the market.

According to him, the solar-powered streetlights would also help improve security and create a safer environment for traders and customers, particularly during evening business activities.

The APC candidate urged the traders to continue supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying the reforms of the Federal Government were gradually yielding positive results.

He also appealed to the traders to support APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, expressing confidence in the party’s prospects.

Earlier, the Chairman of APC Araromi Gate Market Motor Parts Dealers, Alhaji Ojo Azeez, commended Oseni for his contributions to the development of the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.

Azeez said the traders had confidence in Oseni’s leadership and his ability to deliver on his promises.

“We believe in your achievements so far. By the grace of Almighty God, you shall defeat your opponents hands down,” he said.

The chairmen of the four sections of the market also pledged their support for Oseni, President Tinubu and other APC candidates.

The meeting was attended by the Baale of the market, Alhaji Raimi Ewebiyi, alongside leaders and representatives of the various groups and sections within the market

Oyo APC: Reconciliation Gathers Momentum as Stakeholders Rally Behind Alli

Ahead of the 2027 general election, four governorship aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo have rallied behind the party’s candidate, Senator (Dr) Sharafadeen Alli.

The development followed a strategic meeting involving key APC stakeholders on Sunday at the residence of former First Lady, Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Alao-Akala, in Ibadan.

The four governorship aspirants are former Deputy Governor of Oyo, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, Hon. Hakeem Alao, Hon. Musibau Ashanike and Hon. Usman Bakare.

Sources said their decision to align with Alli represented a significant step toward resolving differences and consolidating the party around its recognised candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

They said the stakeholders agreed that the collective interest of APC and the welfare of Oyo residents should take precedence over previous political differences.

The meeting also reportedly reaffirmed the importance of reconciliation, cooperation and a united structure capable of strengthening APC’s grassroots mobilisation and electoral preparedness.

The development comes as the Oyo APC Reconciliatory Committee intensifies consultations with leaders, former aspirants and other stakeholders to address grievances and establish common polpitical ground.

Sources said the stakeholders resolved to support initiatives strengthening Alli’s candidacy, while encouraging other aggrieved members to embrace dialogue and work toward a common political objective.

Political observers described the development as a boost to APC’s 2027 preparations, saying the convergence of prominent stakeholders around Alli could enhance the party’s cohesion, mobilisation and prospects in the general election.

Looking at Oyo State's governorship history since 1999, a pattern seems to emerge. Every election has produced a political milestone, with one "political gene" or another being broken.

2003:
The opposition PDP, led by Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, defeated the ruling AD government of Lam Adesina, ending the assumption that a party would automatically enjoy an uninterrupted eight-year tenure.

2007:
Adebayo Alao-Akala of the PDP emerged governor, ensuring the PDP remained in power for another four years after Ladoja's administration.

2011–2019:
The APC, under Abiola Ajimobi, made history by producing the first governor in Oyo State to complete two consecutive terms. However, the APC could not extend its rule by producing his successor.

2027:
Could history repeat itself in another way? Will Seyi Makinde become the first governor to successfully produce a successor from his political camp, with Hon. Bimbo Adekanbi as the beneficiary?

Time will tell.

Abi, you no dey think wetin I dey think? 😀
