Engr. Titilayo Odeyemi Delivers Technical Lecture on Slit Lamp Equipment at UCH Biomedical Engineering Department Titillayo Olonoh Odeyemi

Ibadan, Nigeria – The Biomedical Engineering Department of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, recently hosted an insightful technical lecture delivered by Engr. Titilayo Odeyemi during its departmental meeting.

The training session focused on the slit lamp machine, a critical diagnostic instrument widely used in ophthalmology clinics for the examination of both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. The lecture provided an in-depth overview of the equipment’s structure, functionality, and common technical challenges.

Engr. Odeyemi highlighted the three major components of the slit lamp system: the illumination system, the observation system, and the mechanical system, which includes the adjustable table assembly.
