Random thoughts 💬 💭

If I were a man,
my steps might carry a heavier echo,
a world expecting me to be solid stone,
when inside, I’d still be soft water,
flowing with songs,
seasoned with spice and story.

I’d wear strength like a jacket,
but sometimes wish to take it off,
to show the world my tenderness
without them calling it weakness.

I would still love deeply,
still cradle dreams like newborns,
still find warmth in the kitchen fire,
and peace in written words.

As a man,
I’d be a protector,
but also a listener,
a voice that tells my children:
“Kindness is the bravest strength.”

And maybe
the world would see me differently,
but I would still be me,
the same soul
dancing in a new skin.

Of all the things that matter,
not gold, nor silver’s gleam,
but the laughter of a child at dawn,
the courage to still dream...

Of all the things that matter,
not crowns nor thrones of men,
but the quiet peace of a faithful heart
and the warmth of a true friend.

Of all the things that matter,
not riches stored away,
but love that lingers in the soul
long after words decay.

Of all the things that matter,
when life has run its course,
it is kindness sown in secret
that will echo with great force.

So cherish not the fleeting,
nor chase what fades with years,
for of all the things that matter
it is love that perseveres 💕
