The King Maker – Episode 10: The Crown of Unity (Finale)
Before sunrise, the enemy empire's army surrounded the kingdom.
Their commander shouted,
"Open the gates, and we will spare your people!"
Fear spread across the city.
The newly chosen king, Afolabi, stood on the palace walls, looking at an army far larger than his own.
His generals urged him to attack.
Others advised surrender.
The King Maker stepped beside him and said,
"A king's greatest victory is not won with a sword, but with wisdom."
Afolabi nodded.
He ordered the palace gates to open.
The crowd gasped.
Instead of marching out with soldiers, Afolabi walked out alone, carrying no weapon—only the ancient Crown in his hands.
He stopped before the invading commander.
"Thousands will die today if we fight. If your quarrel is with the throne, then take my life instead. But leave my people in peace."
The enemy commander stared at him in disbelief.
No king had ever offered his own life to save his people.
After a long silence, he lowered his sword.
Then he knelt.
One by one, his soldiers followed.
"A ruler who is willing to die for his people deserves to live for them."
The invasion ended without a single battle.
Back at the palace, the King Maker placed the Crown on Afolabi's head.
> "From this day forward, you are King Afolabi... not because of your blood, but because of your heart."
The people erupted in celebration.
The three princes bowed before their new king, ending years of rivalry.
As the cheers echoed through the kingdom, the King Maker quietly laid down his staff.
His duty was complete.
He walked out of the palace alone and disappeared into the morning mist.
No one ever saw him again.
But for generations, whenever a new king was crowned, one empty chair was always placed beside the throne...
..in honor of The King Maker.
