Many Christians like to blame Delilah for Samson’s fall, but the Bible does not support that narrative.
Samson knew the source of his strength. He also knew the instructions attached to it. God never hid the rules from him. Samson was not ignorant, he was careless.
What d€stroyed Samson was not temptation. It was familiarity with disobedience. He kept going back to what God warned him about, and because judgment did not come immediately, he assumed nothing would ever happen. He mistook God’s patience for permission.
The sad part is that Samson did not lose his strength the day his hair was cut. He had already lost discernment long before that night. By the time Delilah finished her work, Samson was already weak spiritually.
This is a warning to believers today.
Anointing does not cancel discipline.
Grace does not remove responsibility. God can be with you and still allow you to face the consequences of repeated carelessness.
If God has been warning you about a habit, a relationship, or a lifestyle, don’t keep testing how far you can go.
Wisdom is knowing when to walk away before strength turns into shame. Many Christians like to blame Delilah for Samson’s fall, but the Bible does not support that narrative. Samson knew the source of his strength.
What destroyed Samson was not temptation. It was familiarity with disobedience.
