Not every voice speaking about Boko Haram comes from Sheikh Ahmed Gumi or Abn Sunnah Tv —individuals whom some people may quickly dismiss as sympathizers. In this case, the perspective is that of Professor Philip Djemanze, a medical doctor, researcher, scholar, and Christian of Igbo heritage, who presents his own analysis of the origins, sponsors, and underlying factors behind the terrorist organization known as Boko Haram.
It is important to recognize that Boko Haram, ISWAP, ISIS, and Lakurawa are terrorist organizations whose actions and ideologies do not represent the true teachings of Islam. Although some individuals may be deceived, radicalized, or manipulated into joining these groups, their acts of violence, murder, and destruction should never be attributed to Islam or to the millions of peaceful Muslims around the world who consistently reject and condemn terrorism.
Rather than relying on propaganda, misinformation, or prejudice, everyone should strive to examine facts objectively and distinguish between the criminal actions of terrorist groups and the beliefs of an entire religion. Truth is best served through knowledge, evidence, and fair judgment—not stereotypes or assumptions.
