Olorile Commends Ogun CP's Security Drive, Receives Royal Honour Award

His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulSemiu Adewale Ogunjobi (Arolagbade I), the Olorile of Orile Ifo, has commended the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, for his commitment to improving security across the state through the Operation Kosaye initiative.

The monarch gave the commendation on Thursday during a familiarisation visit by the Commissioner of Police to the Olorile Palace in Orile Ifo. CP Ojajuni was accompanied by the Area Commander, Ifo Area Command, ACP Seyi Williams; the Divisional Police Officer, Ifo Police Division, CSP Olabisi Adebayo Kamor; other senior police officers and distinguished guests.

Welcoming the police chief, Oba Ogunjobi described Operation Kosaye as a proactive strategy that has strengthened efforts to protect lives and property across Ogun State. He reaffirmed the commitment of traditional institutions to working closely with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to promote peace, unity and community development.

During the visit, the royal father introduced palace chiefs and other traditional title holders to the Commissioner of Police, who stressed the importance of collaboration between security agencies and traditional rulers in combating crime and deepening community policing.

In recognition of the monarch's unwavering support for peace, security and harmonious coexistence, CP Ojajuni presented a Royal Award of Honour to Oba Ogunjobi. The visit further underscored the growing partnership between the Ogun State Police Command and traditional institutions in building a safer and more secure society.

A major breakthrough has been recorded in Ifo as Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, and the Olorile of Orile Ifoland, Oba Abdul Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi, have successfully resolved their differences and embraced peace.

The reconciliation was announced by the Executive Members of Bonafide Omo Ifo, who described the development as a historic step towards strengthening unity, harmony and development in Ifoland.

According to the group, the peace accord followed deliberate efforts to facilitate dialogue and mutual understanding between the two respected leaders, with the shared goal of placing the interests of the community above personal disagreements.

The executives commended both Oluomo and Oba Ogunjobi for demonstrating exemplary leadership and maturity by choosing the path of reconciliation in the interest of peace and progress.

“This remarkable achievement reflects the commitment of all parties to peace, unity, mutual respect and the continued development of Ifoland,” the group said in a statement.

Bonafide Omo Ifo noted that the reconciliation signals the beginning of a new era of cooperation and collective responsibility among stakeholders in the town, adding that unity remains the strongest foundation for sustainable community development.

The group further expressed appreciation to both leaders for prioritising the prosperity and advancement of Ifoland, describing their actions as a shining example for others to emulate.

It reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace, fostering understanding and supporting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people.

Residents and stakeholders have welcomed the reconciliation, expressing optimism that the renewed relationship between the former Speaker and the traditional ruler will accelerate development and strengthen social cohesion across Ifoland.
