•••••••••••••••••••••••••
We are fully aware of the serious erosion crisis, threatening many parts of our beloved community.

Investigation revealed that individuals are presently struggling to check the menace of these catastrophic erosion in Igbere have

The attached videos is an evidence of an individual struggling to tackle the erosion challenges in his area.

Sincerely speaking the erosion menace in Igbere has reached advanced stages of destruction and, if not tackled urgently, will cause individuals and villages of Igbere to be displaced in the near future.

Handling this erosion challenge requires collective effort and not to be left in the hand of one person.

The raining season will soon start, we can no longer afford to wait anymore. Hence, this carron call to all Igbere stakeholders, IWU leadership, our elected leaders, our appointed leaders, religious leaders, and traditional rulers to action.

Let's call on the State Government. Let's call on the federal government and let's individuals continue to contribute their best.

*WE SUGGEST BELOW*
1. Let Igbere stakeholders and leadership write an official letter to pay a courtesy visit to the executive governor of Abia State. During the visit or call, stakeholders, elected and appointed leaders, should accompany the leadership of IWU to table our erosion challenges to the state government.

2. Individuals should be encouraged to manage any site of erosion wherever it is noticed to salvage the problem early.

3. We must learn to construct drainages with manholes to slow down the speed floodwaters when building in Igbere.

4. Let's encourage our people to plant trees and grasses as a means of controlling erosion.

Let's kindly note that this problem is a collective problem requiring collective responsibility and let everyone be concerned in solving this problem.

This is a call to fight against erosion in Igbere.
