UPDATE: Adenekan AJ Initiates Ibarapa Academic Society, Sets to Inaugurate Members of Society.

*Ìbàràpá Sciences and Mathematics Society- The HEPTAGON*
(Ì—SMS)
Motto: _...investing in Academic Dreams and Reality_
It is with great pleasure that we introduce the Ìbàràpá Sciences and Mathematics Society (Ì-SMS)—to be Codenamed THE HEPTAGON. Our mission is to foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration among students in Ibarapa, with a special focus on sciences and mathematics.
As we strive to promote a community that values knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving, we aim to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents, connect with peers and mentors, and access resources that support their academic and professional growth.
Through our initiatives, we hope to inspire a new generation of leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will drive progress and development in Ibarapa and beyond. We invite students, educators, and stakeholders to join us on this exciting journey, as we work together to build a brighter future for our community.
FOREWORD
“I grew up a trying youngster longing for an academically encouraging environment as a secondary school student and high school leaver. Like a vast majority of others, I was filled with many true and untrue thoughts and notions, not only about life after secondary school but also about aspirations after high schooling-Speaking of my much earlier youthful days, an encouraging environment was largely or totally a mirage, What's the difference today?
Today, I am sharing my experience based on my interactions with some brilliant fellows and friends whose missions to achieve their dream courses were ultimately thwarted, usually due to a lack of perseverance and effective mentorship initiatives. I believe that the HEPTAGON will significantly restore many hopes. We aim to relinquish the inferno of impossibilities plaguing the academics of young minds. With God's guidance, we are ready to put a halt to the diversion of careers left unaddressed.
As a result of our fateful system, Many deprived putative inventors, life savers, professionals, academics, broadcasters, scientists, connoisseurs, accountants, and merchants were astray due to similar afore-stressed reasons. However, as we pray for God-driven innovations, I believe we will serve as guide-lights and career counselors with our gifted brothers and sisters from across our philosophically regular and geographically irregular Heptagon, Ìbàràpá.
We also aim to liaise with innovative like-minded individuals and friends worldwide to focus on the growth of the seven towns constituting Ibarapa. This is the reason for a united league of dream investors called the HEPTAGON. We will do our best, and I wish us the best of luck. 7 main Aims and Objectives of HEPTAGON
* To promote academic collaboration and unity among students in Ibarapa
* To showcase the talents and potential of Ibarapa students to a global audience
* To attract support and resources from individuals and organizations that can help develop the skills of Ibarapa students
* To increase the number of students gaining admission into higher institutions of learning
* To improve academic performance and standards of students in Ibarapa by providing resources and support for Primary, Secondary, Undergraduate and Graduate students
* To provide career guidance and mentorship to secondary school students by connecting them with graduate professionals
* To identify and address the educational challenges facing gifted students in Ibarapa of which include but not limited to lack of financial support for students hindering the realization of such students' full potentials.
7 Future plans of the HEPTAGON
* We hope to host Ibarapa Sciences and Mathematics Competitions among secondary schools—two students per Town.
* We hope to liaise with the Federation of Ìbàràpá Students' Association(FIBSA) and apex indigenous unions/associations within the zone.
* We hope to work with offices and by the grace of God build a structure where Educational researches would be done through internet surfing among others: fostering advancement in mathematical and scientific researches in Ibarapa.
* Partnering with foreign bodies in facilitation of educational Empowerments, abstract as knowledge or visible as gadgets.
* Set up of committees to work as educational assistance base for Ibarapa Students who are seeking Undergraduate admission and as well Postgraduate admissions particularly pilot scholarships among others.
* Sponsor of standard and screened Tutors in the zone to assist the younger generations.
* Lastly, Organising carrier talks in selected schools based on previous performances in our editions so far.
These are not promises but future plans, God is the owner of the future. However, These plans as highlighted remained ours till it was proven that another evident and current writing with similar plans or contents have been released to the public space earlier than now. We appreciate the fact that there are bodies that have hosted somewhat interesting inter-secondary school competitions but which are rather in the areas of debating, essaying and quizzing, We are glad and proud of their activities and would love to work along with them.
7 Proposals of the HEPTAGON
* A Society of Yet-to-quantified man Committee including only 5 academic patrons/matrons with impacts in the academic community and some notable colleagues who are all in the field of sciences. No town will not be represented among the seven comprising towns of Ibarapa.
* Each year, a Winner of the best UTME roll out is eligible to join the society.
* We hope the society comprise of really grown Academic and at the same time add more of fresh youthful members by the process of yearly free membership slot as mentioned above.
* Each year winner goes home with a sum of not less than 50,000 Naira, Aside the 50,000 Naira cash price, we are open to all supports from reputable foundations or persons for their passion to assist Ìbàràpá education is what they demonstrate.
* We welcome awarding of educational assisting gadgets, for example, assisting winner with a Personal Computer(PC) would be highly impactful in the education carrier of the winner.
* We propose to have a winner in the maiden edition but we may equally have to extend it to First and Second runners up in the subsequent editions or even rather an extension to “best UTME scorers” in Humanities and Commercials.
* Lastly, We are some steps far distant from political activities or related issues but educational support offers are always acceptable from offices.
N. B.—There is clear difference between support for the program and support for the winner.
