Igede Youths Embark on Protest Over Decades-Old Dilapidated Road

The Igede youths have announced plans to stage a protest over the deplorable condition of their major road, which was constructed 37 years ago without significant maintenance. According to the protest leader, the road has been left in a state of disrepair, leaving the Igede community in a quagmire.

"This is the only Federal government road into our tribe, and we have no alternative," the leader emphasized. "We are human beings too, just like any other Nigerians. We want that road, which is completely washed away, fixed now."

The protesters plan to engage with major stakeholders, including the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Okada riders, and youth leaders from Oju and Obi. They will also reach out to media houses and bloggers to amplify their plight.
