World Cancer Day/Cancer Research UK(CRUK) February squat challengeđź’Ş

Today marks Day 4 of the Cancer Research UK 100 Squats a Day Challenge in February, and it also happens to be World Cancer Day a moment for global reflection, awareness, and action.

My daily posts of the February 100 squats a day challenge is to reflect my commitment to supporting the essential work Cancer Research UK undertakes in prevention, early diagnosis, and advancing treatment for cancer. It also represents my solidarity with the individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

As I complete today’s 100 squats, I do so in recognition of the resilience of my patients, the dedication of healthcare professionals, and the continued advancements made possible through research.

This post is also to encourage you to attend screening when invited or seek advice when new changes/symptoms develop🥳❤️

Hi everyone, my name is Chinedum and today is Day 1 of my 100 squats a day challenge this February.
I’m taking on this challenge to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. My fundraising target is £250, and every pound raised will go towards supporting the incredible work they do from research and innovation to improving early diagnosis and developing better treatments.
Cancer affects so many individuals and families, and through my work I see just how important timely diagnosis and accessible treatment really are. That’s why I’ve decided to push myself physically💪💪 this month to play a small part in helping create a future where cancer is beaten sooner, and where effective treatment is readily available because of the life changing research Cancer Research UK continues to lead.
If you’re able to donate or even just share this challenge, I’d really appreciate your support.

Through my work as a Breast Screening Radiographer, I see how deeply cancer affects individuals and families, and how vital early diagnosis and better treatments are. Now! I'm taking on the 100 Squats a Day Challenge this February to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Each squat is a small reminder that progress is built on consistency, resilience, and hope. By pushing myself physically, I’m proud to help fund research that brings us closer to a future where cancer is beaten sooner.❤️ Please show your support and help fund life-saving cancer research by donating to my page🥰.

Reflections from Breast Imaging

One of the greatest values Mammography teaches you is patience. Over time, I’ve learned that being a good Mammographer goes far beyond producing high quality images. It’s about combining skill, empathy, and compassion in every single encounter.

Every client who walks through our doors has a story. Often, they come with anxiety, fear, or physical challenges. Patience helps us connect, reassure, and care for each of them with dignity. Whether it’s positioning an older client, supporting someone with limited mobility, or simply offering a kind word these moments remind us that our work is deeply human.

In Breast Imaging, we are not just imaging specialists; we are advocates, listeners, and caregivers. Each image we take has the potential to make a life changing difference. Sometime this week, one of my clients thanked me for simply listening and this is a beautiful reminder that compassion is as vital as clinical skill.

Cheers to all the Mammographers out there, for your gentle hands, keen eyes, and compassionate hearts.

In the end, our mission is clear. We’re here to save lives, one image at a time.
