𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔 𝗠𝗨𝗠 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 🖤
One thing I love about this company is the friendly atmosphere.
The staff members are friendly, willing and ready to help. I became friends with many of them right from my first day at work.
So, I have new friends. Bravo!
While I was chatting with the acting manager on my first day, I told her about creating a social media page for the company.
(I forgot to mention that it's a new company)
And not just that, I also told her about creating a Google My Business account for the company to attract customers in Lagos, especially customers living in Festac town.
It was all new to her and you should have seen me in teaching mode.
(Sidenote: Teaching is fun when you know what you are teaching).
The fact that the company will truly get customers from their Google my business account sounded too good to be true but I re-assured her and handled her objections.
I hope to be granted the permission to create a page and a Google My Business account for "my" company.
(Another sidenote: Having a digital skill is wonderful. Get one if you don't have any)
Speaking of the acting manager, she's like my mum in this company. From the first day we met, she started advising me like her own daughter.
She advised:
√ You need to go to school no matter what. In fact, you must go to school. You are young, and brilliant. Start saving for school today.
(This is the second time and outsider is telling me that I NEED to go to school even if I don't need the certificate).
√ Be prayerful. Don't be carried away by what you see in this generation.
√ Don't be ashamed of working and making money, so long as you are not doing anything illegal.
√ Never exchange your body for money. Be proud of your work, learn, save money and invest in your education.
√ I see that you already have digital skills and you are doing well for yourself. With your knowledge, you'll make money and meet important people here.
This is just the summary of the priceless advice she gave me.
Currently, I have 3 mothers; my biological mum, my second mum - NaijaBrandChick, and my Acting Manager.
Oh! Did I mention that I also have a big sister here? I learnt that today.
I have a lot to share with you but we will continue the gist tomorrow.

P.S: I know that I haven't told you what this company is all about, but I will... Soon. I'll reveal the company, the name, location, why I chose to work here and I'll also invite you over if you live in or around Festac Town.
Meanwhile, can you guess?
If you guessed right, I'll tag you on the next post.
P.P.S: Co-workers, family members, and relatives including in-laws are not allowed to guess 😁🫢
