4 DIFFERENT TYPES OF PEOPLE WHO DO TELECOM BUSINESS.
It's essential to understand the different types of people in the telecommunications business. While everyone may claim to be a telecom expert, there are actually four types:
1. *Free Members*: These individuals buy data for personal use, consuming it for their own advantage. They utilize other people's websites, such as buying data from OP, PayPal, or other telecom websites.
2. *Premium Members*: I refer to them as premium members because they're similar to free members but want to start a data reselling business. They don't have their own website, likely due to limited resources. Instead, they use other people's websites to sell data to others.
For example, as a premium member, I would find a website selling data, check their prices (e.g., MTN 1GB for ₦200), add my markup (e.g., ₦100), and sell it for ₦300. I'd create a flyer, advertise, and sell data, even though I'm not the website owner. I'd buy data from the website, add my profit, and resell it.
Now, let's move on to the third category: _Website Owners_. These individuals own the websites you visit to buy data, airtime, cable subscriptions, and print recharge cards. They earn commissions from sales made through their websites.
For example, I'm a website owner because I have a website where people buy data, airtime, and other services. While people use my website, I earn commissions. I can also sell data directly to customers, earning profits in two ways.
The fourth category is _Software Owners_. They have affiliate websites under a company and earn commissions from sales made through their unique links. When people buy data or airtime using these links, software owners earn commissions directly into their bank accounts.
As Zeeland Telecom Services, I'm both a website owner and a software owner, with two websites. I'll share proof of payments from both website owners and software owners.
To recap, there are four essential categories to understand:
1. Free Members
2. Premium Members
3. Website Owners
4. Software Owners
Now that you know these categories, let's proceed with the class.
