When democracy returned to Nigeria in 1999 ,the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike was elected as the Executive Chairman, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State

By this time, Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi was the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

In 2007 Rotimi Amaechi was elected as the governor of Rivers State and he made Nyesom Wike his Chief of Staff

This was after leaving the council chairmanship, that he became Chief of Staff to Governor Rotimi Amaechi in 2007, serving until 2011.

Then , Rotimi Amaechi as governor of Rivers State nominated him as a Minister and was appointed as the Minister of State for Education under President Goodluck Jonathan

This was how Nyesom came to national limelight. He got his political breakthrough when Rotimi Amaechi made him his Chief of staff to the governor

That position is the most sensitive appointment by a governor.

The position is reserved for trusted friends /ally.

Something very shocking happened yesterday during funeral of Rotimi Amaechi mothers Dame Mary Oduarh Amaechi mothers burial.

Amaechi’s mother, Dame Mary Orduah Amaechi, was buried at Ubima, Ikwerre LGA, Rivers State.

Wike was not present at the burial. Instead, a civic reception was organised in his honour at Omagwa, also in Ikwerre LGA, on the same day.

The two locations are connected by the Omagwa–Ubima road, and security personnel reportedly restricted/barricaded part of the road.

This caused traffic congestion and made it more difficult for some mourners and dignitaries to reach the burial venue.

Everybody knew Rotimi Amaechi's mother was being buried and lot of top dignitaries expected.

Then , Civic reception in honour of Wike was suddenly organized and fixed on the same date.

They did not only organize the reception, they also restricted Omagwa ~Ubima road causing serious traffic congestion on the road

This was what played out in Ubima Rivers State yesterday. Mourners and guest to the burial were trapped in the traffic

I saw the video of the ambulance conveying the body trapped in the traffic.

My question, why would Wike supporters go so low to do this to Rotimi Amaechi the man who made their boss what he is today?

Because of power? For me, I don't like people who are ungrateful.

People who forget where they are coming from.

Wike should have done better but I am disappointed

“Peter Obi Restored Order In Anambra After The Exit Of Chris Ngige "

Chris Ngige was the only governor in the history of Nigeria to have been kidn@pp£d.

But immediately Peter Obi assumed office as governor, things started changing. Every day, we military personnel were on the move, working to tackle ins£cur!ty.

I served under retired Major General Enenche. If Peter Obi becomes President of Nigeria, ins£cur!ty in the country will become a thing of the past. I’m speaking from experience.

I’m not saying this because am from the Southeast. I’m a Yoruba man from Ondo State, so you won’t say maybe because I’m an Igbo man.

There’s no comparison between Atiku, Obi, and Tinubu. No comparison...”

- Ex-military officer recounts his experience with Peter Obi, saying ins£cur!ty would become a thing of the past if he becomes president.

“With all these money they said APC is stealing, you are giving us #3,000 , If you people keep giving us ₦3,000 for APC campaign, we won’t come again ooo!

Some of us borrowed transport fare to come to the campaign ground, and they are only paying us ₦3,000.”

— Kano State residents who came for the APC campaign rally cries out after receiving ₦3,000 for rally

Don't blame Peter Obi when he said Professors who are supposed to be custodian of knowledge are helping in rigging election. Peter Obi heard and saw something which we have confirmed by listening to President Tinubu supporters and APC loyalist.

President Tinubu supporters are increasingly becoming predictable, outside his supporters being ethnic jingoist , they have proven the fact that it is difficult to campaign and defend him without sounding annoying and stupid including professor's. Imagine Prof. Femi Otubanjo, Research Professor, Nigerian Institute of International Affairs was quoted on live TV saying "Peter Obi Lacks Oratorical Power Unlike Tinubu, a Political Force Since 1978 " .

To tell you how delusional President Tinubu supporters are , the professor went on to say " You should ask yourself: what is Atiku selling to Nigerians? Credibility, performance, ethics, or morality? The answer is nothing. What is Peter Obi selling beyond the fact that he represents the aspirations of the Southeast for the presidency? They are running a bland campaign. When you listen to Peter Obi speak, his delivery is flat and he unfortunately lacks the oratorical power to sell his vision".

If Peter Obi does not have oratory power and command of english, does President Tinubu have oratory power and good command of english. My personal observation is that almost all APC data boys and President Tinubu supporters are attacking Peter Obi for issues their principal and the president is guilty of . They do that as a means to block you from attacking the president of raising the issues against him ..they will first of all raise it against the opponent of the president as a defence mechanism.

Professor Femi thought we have forgotten the Posthumous Honours Mistake made by President Tinubu in (June 2025) during his live Democracy Day address to a joint session of the National Assembly, President Tinubu announced a list of pro-democracy activists receiving posthumous awards. However, the list incorrectly included Pa Reuben Fasoranti (the prominent leader of Afenifere) and Dr. Edwin Madunagu. Because both national figures were very much alive, the incident drew immediate public confusion, forcing Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga to issue an official apology for the "oversight."

We still have not forgotten the 50 Million Soldiers Slip (March 2021) At a colloquium in Kano state, where the president urged the Federal Government to recruit 50 million soldiers to combat insecurity. He stated they could be fed "cassava, corn, and yam." His media team later apologized, clarifying that he meant to say 50,000 soldiers and that it was an "accidental verbal mistake."

In one of President Tinubu's outing while speaking to a delegation of market women in Abuja, Tinubu incorrectly asserted that the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) held by ordinary Nigerians had expired. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) immediately released a statement countering his claim to prevent voter panic, prompting a retraction from Tinubu's campaign team.just during a rally in Lagos State, while rallying his supporters to secure their voting materials, he told the crowd to "go and take your APV… APC and you must vote" instead of saying PVC (Permanent Voter Card).

How about the Atiku Senate Presidency Gaffe (January 2023) where are a state campaign, President Tinubu mistakenly stated that his main political rival, Atiku Abubakar, was a former Senate President, confusing the role with Atiku's actual past political office as Vice President . Also while Speaking at the KadInvest event in Kaduna State, he attempted to praise Governor Nasir El-Rufai's governance style but stated that El-Rufai possessed a vision for "turning a rotten situation into a bad one."

So based on available records and data . Peter Obi has more oratory power more than the president.

Single Father Apprehended In Aba For Having S+xual In*******se With His 13-Year-Old Daughter.

A man identified as Tony from Abia State has been apprehended after having s+xual in*******se with his 13-year-old biological daughter.

During questioning, Tony admitted to the act. When asked how long he had been having in*******se with his daughter, he said, “she was 9 years old, and I have only done it twice.”

The young girl, when asked who the man was to her and how old she was when the act began, said, “he is my father, and he started having in*******se with me when I was 9 years old.”

When asked where the acts took place and where her mother was whenever they occurred, she said, “he does it at home and I don’t know my mother.”

She was also asked whether her father gave her money or anything in exchange for keeping quiet after the encounters. She replied, “he doesn’t give me anything.”

While Tony claimed that he had only done it twice, his daughter gave a different account when asked how many times it had happened, saying, “I cannot count how many times he has done it.”

The case is currently under investigation as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the allegations and determine the appropriate legal action.

AN APPEAL TO GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI: PLEASE INTERVENE BEFORE ENYIUKWU LOSES CONFIDENCE

We respectfully appeal to His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, to kindly look into the growing concerns surrounding recent events in Enyiukwu and help prevent political disagreements from escalating into a serious community crisis.

In particular, we humbly appeal for an impartial investigation into the incident involving Hon. Chinasa Anthony and the subsequent reported ill-treatment of Prince Uchenna Ukaegbu, an aide to the Commissioner for Culture and Youth.

The investigation, in our respectful view, should specifically establish:
What exactly transpired between Hon. Chinasa Anthony and Prince Uchenna Ukaegbu, including the circumstances that led to the incident.

What information or allegations were communicated to the Commissioner concerning Prince Uchenna.
Whether the Commissioner took any action based on information allegedly supplied by Hon. Chinasa Anthony or persons acting on his behalf.

What informed the decision to treat Prince Uchenna in the manner reported. Whether Prince Uchenna was given an opportunity to respond before any action was taken against him.

Whether the treatment was fair and consistent with due process.
Whether there have been similar complaints of intimidation or pressure involving young people in Enyiukwu because of perceived political differences.

We make this appeal not to prejudge Hon. Chinasa Anthony, the Commissioner or anyone else, but to ensure that the facts are established and every party is given a fair opportunity to be heard.

Your Excellency, there is also a political dimension that we respectfully ask you to consider. Actions perceived by residents as intimidation, unfair treatment or political victimisation can have consequences at the ballot box. If people in Enyiukwu begin to feel that their political choices could attract hostility or unfair treatment, it could create resentment and potentially affect the level of support for your administration and the Labour Party in the community.

We therefore believe that addressing these concerns fairly is not only important for peace and justice; it is also important for preserving the goodwill and political confidence that your administration enjoys among the people.

We respectfully appeal to Your Excellency to use your good offices to encourage dialogue, establish the facts and ensure that nobody is victimised because of his or her political preference.

Enyiukwu needs peace, fairness and reassurance—not political tension.
We appeal for an investigation.
We appeal for fairness.
We appeal for dialogue.

And we appeal for the protection of the political confidence of the people.

May wisdom prevail, and may Enyiukwu remain peaceful and united.

The typical Nigerian politician act like an overlord who never imagined an end will come. He behaves like a tyrant who is unquestionable only to fall when he least expect it .

The mother of Ex River State Governor, Ex Minister and current vice presidential candidate of the ADC Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi , Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi was being laid to rest at Ubima yesterday, and instead of allowing the solemnity of the occasion to stand on its own, the current FCT minister Bar. Nyesom Wike choosed to hold his reception at nearby Omagwa, while security restrictions were reported along the route connecting the two communities.

This is considered by many as a deliberate intentional act to frustrate the opposition politician coming for the burial , infant the Rivers ADC has alleged that the arrangement was deliberately designed to frustrate access to the burial. It is even alleged that the FCT minister used the occasion to remind everyone that Amaechi cannot defeat him in 2027 in River State which to me is an unnecessary information on that sacred day .

Bar. Nyesom Wike, the FCT minister is not under obligation or compulsion to attend the burial but hosting another event that day and using that occasion to attack Rt. Hon. Amaechi is unnecessary. Imagine a man of Rt. Hon. Amaechi's calibre burying his mother, and your overriding political message on that particular day is that you will defeat him at the polls. I considered it politics taken too far .

Political office and position will come and go but actions will always have conmissurect consequency no matter how long it takes . That is what politician must learn . No single politician or political actor is bigger than everyone.

AKUMBA AGE GRADE OF AMAEKPU OHAFIA HONOURS HON. IBE OKWARA OSONWA FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE

The 2nd Akumba Age Grade of Amaekpu Ohafia has honoured Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, in recognition of his service to the constituency.

The award was presented on Saturday, 5th September 2026, during the launch of the Age Grade's Bye-Law and the investiture of its Patron, held in Abuja.

According to the Age Grade, the honour was in recognition of the lawmaker's contribution to community development, his character and integrity, his commitment to selfless service, and the impact he has made in the lives of individuals across the constituency.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the 2nd Akumba Age Grade described Hon. Osonwa as a pride to Ohafia and a true son of the land whose leadership continues to impact the people at home and in the diaspora. Members of the constituency present described his leadership as inclusive and people-centred, citing among other things the Smart School at Amaekpu and his assistance in securing employment opportunities for sons and daughters of Amaekpu and the wider constituency.

Hon. Osonwa, who was represented at the occasion by his Personal Assistant, Hon. Nnanna Amadi-Kalu Umeh, thanked the Age Grade for the recognition and delivered an address on ethical values and the standards expected of custodians of Ohafia's name.

He described a Bye-Law as more than rules on paper, calling it a covenant that binds an Age Grade together as one people with one purpose.

On character, he reminded the gathering that Ohafia is known the world over for courage, integrity and truth, and that the members of the Age Grade are now custodians of that name. "Let your public conduct reflect Ezi-okwu, truthfulness. Let your private life reflect Omenala, good character," he said, adding that title without character is noise, and urging them to be men the young ones of Amaekpu can look up to.

On communal values, he recalled the principle of Onye aghana nwanne ya, that no one is left behind, and urged that the Bye-Law promote unity by settling matters at home first, welfare by supporting widows, orphans and the less privileged, and progress through investment in education, health and youth empowerment. An Age Grade that lifts its community, he noted, lifts itself.

On tradition, he charged the members not to allow modernity erase their identity, urging them to speak Igbo to their children, respect their elders, honour their traditions and hold to Oru na Igba mbo, the diligence with which their fathers built Ohafia.

He closed by describing the investiture as a call to service, pledging his support on behalf of the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency to any project of the Age Grade that advances peace and development, and praying that the new dispensation would bring greater unity and impact.

"Amaekpu is proud of you. Ohafia is proud of you," he said.
