OUTCOME OF THE MEETING BETWEEN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA NURSES AND MIDWIVES, OVER SEVEN (7) DAYS STRIKE ACTION DECLARED BY THE ASSOCIATION.

Arising from today's meeting presided over by the Hon.Minister of Labour and Employment, Hon.Muhammad Dingyadi at the conference hall of the ministry.

All the demands of the Association were analysed critically. However, the ministry and the Association could not come to a conclusion on how to address all the demands for the overall interest of the Nurses/Midwives and Healthcare sector in Nigeria.

The meeting ended in deadlock.

It was adjourned to later days when Hon. Minister of Health, office of Head of service of the federation and other relevant agencies will be present.

In this regard STRIKE COMMENCES this night.

Others present in the meeting were representative of FMOH&S, office of the accountant general of the federation and the budget office and National Salaries Income and Wages Commission
