Microsoft appoints Yusuf to head Nigeria & Ghana operations

In a major leadership shake-up reflecting Microsoft’s sharpened focus on growth and artificial intelligence (AI) across Africa, Olatomiwa Williams, outgoing Country General Manager for Microsoft Nigeria and Ghana, has been appointed Chief Growth & AI Officer for the Middle East and Africa Growth Markets (MCC), while Abideen Yusuf, seen in photo above, steps up as the new General Manager for Microsoft Nigeria and Ghana.

The Corporate Affairs Commission is driving a major shift in Nigeria’s digital economy by rolling out an AI-powered registration portal.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced a licensing regime for International Application-to-Person (A2P) Messaging Aggregator Services.

The move is designed to improve regulatory oversight, boost security, and enhance the quality of global messaging traffic terminating in Nigeria.

The NCC says Mobile Network Operators are excluded from applying. Companies have just seven days from the public notice to submit their applications, which must meet strict corporate, technical, and compliance requirements.
