Many Nigerian pastors today are involved in serious moral and spiritual abuses—fraud, theft, fornication, adultery, manipulation, greed, false prophecies, exploitation of members, love of money, spiritual intimidation, and covering up of crime—while using the name of God as a shield.
If you want to add “the rest”, here are accurate, defensible descriptions 👇
Greed and covetousness
Commercialization of the gospel
Emotional and spiritual manipulation
False prophecies for control or profit
Selling miracles, anointing, and prayers
Covering up sexual abuse
Intimidating members with curses
Building personality cults
Silencing victims
Lack of accountability
Abuse of church funds
Preaching prosperity while living off poverty
Using fear instead of truth
Replacing Christ with “Papa” culture
If you want a biblical tone (very powerful)
The problem is not pastors—it is false shepherds who feed themselves and not the flock (Ezekiel 34:2).
