Amidst all the buzz surrounding Wike and LT. Yerima, the young Navy officer, alot have been running through my mind.
One of which is,
If Wike could openly react this way, how would he react in private? 🤦
Did you see how he challenged the uniform man aggressively? imagine if he was just a commoner 🤦
Nigerians are in great danger, because the people leading us do not understand what it means to be leaders!!
Let's just assume that the Navy guy was wrong.... Was that the appropriate way for Wike to have reacted?
That mentality of "Do you know who I am?" Is not what someone that serves the general public with many years of experience, should entertain....
Honestly, he could've easily been the bigger person in that situation. Exchanging words with someone that should be within the same age range with his children shouldn't be on the table for him, talk more on verbally abusing him aggressively....
That incident really opened my eyes....
A common man in Nigeria has no backing of these leaders. If you unknowingly offend them in a secluded place, these guys will show you how power is abused.
And you might not have the opportunity to tell the story.... 😔
For them, they own the world and can do anything they like, even though they are wrong... They'll just want to show you that they can....
Honestly, the people leading Nigeria are not doing it for the sake of leadership. They don't have people's interest at heart, they just want to occupy the position and flex power....
With what Wike displayed publicly, one can decode that worse has happened behind the scenes and this sums up why a lot of people are behind bars, simply because they can't defend themselves against the powerful....
And also why a lot of people disappear without any trace....
