REP. UKPONG-UDO EXTENDS CONDOLENCE, MEDICAL SUPPORT TO CONSTITUENTS

The Member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ukpong-udo, PhD, has continued his commitment to supporting constituents in times of grief and medical emergencies, providing financial assistance to two families in Ikono Local Government Area.

The lawmaker, through his Legislative Aide, Engr. Donald Bassey, paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Comrade Odudu Sylvanus Edet of Mbio-Oku Ikot Odung, Ward 2, Ikono LGA, who recently passed away.

During the visit, the lawmaker extended cash support to the bereaved family to assist them as they prepare for the burial of their loved one, scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026.

In a related gesture, Rep. Ukpong-udo also provided medical support to Mrs. Queen Godwin, wife of Mr. Godwin Aniedi Johnson, Itak, Ward 11, Ikono LGA, to assist with expenses arising from her child delivery.

The gestures, according reflect Rep. Ukpong-udo's continued commitment to standing with constituents during moments of bereavement and critical need, while ensuring that vulnerable families receive timely support.

The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the lawmaker for his compassion and intervention, praying for God's continued blessings upon him and his family.

REP. UKPONG-UDO HONOURED WITH TWO PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE AND EMPOWERMENT

The Member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ukpong-udo, PhD, has been honoured with two distinguished awards by the Rotary Club of Uyo and The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo Area, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development, effective representation, and human empowerment.

The first recognition came during the 43rd Presidential Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Uyo, where Rep. Ukpong-udo received the Rotary International Distinguished Award of Excellence in Community Services and Empowerment. The award was presented in acknowledgement of his sustained commitment to humanitarian service and his impactful interventions in the lives of his constituents, in line with Rotary International's enduring ideal of "Service Above Self."

The lawmaker was represented at the event by Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ebe, who expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the Rotary Club of Uyo for the honour. He noted that the award would further inspire Rep. Ukpong-udo to remain steadfast in his commitment to selfless service and people-centred leadership.

Similarly, The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo Area, Ikono Field, conferred on Rep. Ukpong-udo an Award of Excellence in recognition of his unwavering commitment to community development, effective representation, and exceptional record of human empowerment.
The Church commended the federal lawmaker for his numerous developmental interventions, consistent support for the welfare of his constituents, and remarkable efforts in improving lives across Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency.

Rep. Ukpong-udo was represented at the church ceremony by his Special Adviser on Christian Religious Affairs, Engr. Ndotenyin Ekanem, who conveyed the lawmaker's appreciation to the Church leadership for the honour. He described the recognition as a call to even greater service and reaffirmed the lawmaker's dedication to advancing the well-being of the people through responsive representation and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

REP UKPONG-UDO COMMENDS GOLDEN MANDATE MOVEMENT, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT

The Member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ukpong-udo, PhD, has commended the leadership of the Golden Mandate Movement (GMM), a socio-political and grassroots development organisation, for its vision of promoting grassroots mobilisation, community development, and humanitarian service across Akwa Ibom State.

Rep. Ukpong-Udo, who was invited to serve as Chairman of the Occasion at the inauguration of the Golden Mandate Movement, was represented by Barr. Edet Inyangidim at the event, held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Ati Annang International Secretariat, Ikot Ekpene.
The inauguration attracted political leaders, stakeholders, traditional rulers, community leaders, party faithful, and supporters from across the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.

Delivering the goodwill message of the federal lawmaker, Barr. Inyangidim congratulated the newly inaugurated executives of the movement and praised its leadership for establishing a platform that combines grassroots political participation with programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people. He noted that sustainable development begins at the grassroots and encouraged members of the movement to remain committed to selfless service, unity, and initiatives that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens.

Barr. Inyangidim also conveyed Rep. Ukpong-udo's appreciation to the leadership of the organisation for the honour of inviting him to chair the historic inauguration, describing the Golden Mandate Movement as a welcome addition to efforts aimed at strengthening community development and citizen participation across the state.

The ceremony featured the inauguration of the movement's executive members, the unveiling of its grassroots development agenda, the presentation of educational grants to selected beneficiaries, and the announcement of humanitarian programmes, including scholarships, healthcare outreach, business support, skills acquisition, and housing assistance for vulnerable persons.

Rep. Ukpong-udo reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that empower the people, strengthen communities, and promote inclusive development, while wishing the Golden Mandate Movement success in achieving its vision of building a more prosperous and united Akwa Ibom State.

The Member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ukpong-udo, PhD, has been honoured with a Lifetime Service Award by the Knights of St. John International, Holy Trinity Commandery 423/Laux 358, in recognition of his outstanding service to humanity, the Church, and society.

The award was presented during the 2026 Feast Day Celebration and ₦50 Million Fundraising for the Completion of the Holy Trinity Chapel, held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.

Rep. Ukpong-udo, who was represented at the event by his Special Adviser on Christian Religious Affairs, Engr. Ndotenyin Ekanem, expressed profound appreciation to the Knights of St. John International for the honour, describing the recognition as both humbling and inspiring.

As part of his continued commitment to supporting the growth of the Church and the advancement of faith-based community development, the federal lawmaker made a donation of ₦2 million towards the completion of the Holy Trinity Chapel building project.

Speaking on behalf of Rep. Ukpong-udo, Engr. Ekanem reaffirmed the lawmaker's belief that places of worship remain vital institutions for moral instruction, peacebuilding, and community development.
