Yes, the bride price being demanded is on the high side, and it’s understandable for the man to want a reduction. But the real issue is how he handled it.

The moment a man says a woman should be grateful he’s marrying her because she has a child, that’s no longer negotiation that’s disrespect.

Money can be discussed and adjusted.
But a mindset that sees a partner as less than will show up again and again in marriage.

At the end of the day, marriage should be a union of equals not a situation where one person feels like they’re doing the other a favor.

You see the issue of parents that place bounty on their child like it's some ransom, this mostly happy in a particular region in Nigeria, but we're not ready for this conversation yet.

Have you ever been used to predict time?
I was coming from shop tonight, there's this woman i normally greet each time i pass, immediately this woman saw me She was like, ha! time ti lo oo( time has gone 😂)

I was smiling and looking confused at the same time, so i ask her if it is me that she always use to check time.

She was like yes oo, anytime you and your children pass, I already know it's 9pm, i don't know when i started laughing 😀😀

I had to tell her we're even late this night cos it's almost 9:30, it was because i wasn't feeling too well, we do leave earlier than that.

Naso i learnt one lesson from that scenario.

If you think people are not noticing you or you feel like it's just you and you alone, just remembered there's someone somewhere watching your every move and actions.

Be cautious at all times.
