Fabio Wardley Calls Out Oleksandr Usyk After Shocking TKO Win.

Fabio Wardley shocked Joseph Parker with an 11th-round TKO at London’s O2 Arena to claim the WBO interim title.

Following his dramatic victory, the unbeaten fighter wasted no time calling out the Ukrainian champion, boldly declaring:

He moved up weight classes to face Canelo Alvarez and won by unanimous decision. ..

Unbeaten and Undisputed....

But this day almost never came.

In 2008, Crawford was shot after a dice game in his neighbourhood. The bullet grazed just below his ear. He drove himself to the hospital, bleeding. ..

After he was stitched up, he made a decision never to go back to the streets.

From that moment, boxing became more than a career. It became survival...

Early on, he struggled to even get fights. Then came a chance to spar Timothy Bradley. Everyone worried he was too small. But Crawford insisted: "Judge me today. If I don’t perform, send me home."

In the ring, he matched Bradley's intensity and skill so good that Bradley admitted Crawford was a world champion in waiting. ...

Parker ""“I didn’t feel like it [got away from me]. The ref stopped the fight, I felt like I could keep going on, he saw enough, but I have to accept the result. Two shots hurt me, but I was still aware and wanted to carry on. Of course, I was hurting him, he was good, took a few shots here and there, he’s a warrior. He won the fight, he’s onto another big event and fight. He caught me with a few shots, he put on a good performance, but when you get caught, it’s boxing.

I felt fine when they stopped the fight, but I’m not the referee, I wanted to carry on, of course. It sucks to lose a fight, not pretending I’m happy, but life goes on. Boxing is what I do, but I’m blessed with kids and a family, regroup, then see what comes next.”...

Winner Fabio Wardley continues to silence his critics – and could now be heading towards a shot at undisputed heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk after another dramatic stoppage victory.

Wardley pulled off a major upset on Saturday night, ending Joseph Parker’s hopes of becoming a two-time world heavyweight champion and putting himself in contention for a shot at Usyk.

The British heavyweight is now the WBO’s No 1 challenger after producing a stunning comeback victory, stopping the 33-year-old battle-worn New Zealander in the 11th round of a bruising and entertaining contest at London’s O2 Arena....

Wardley, 30, claimed the WBO interim title when referee Howard Foster stepped in to halt the bout as he overwhelmed the former world champion, who had been badly hurt in the 10th round by a right uppercut....
