UNITY IS THE OXYGEN OF ANY SUCCESSFUL GROUP!

SCHOOLMATES MAY GRADUATE FROM THE SAME SCHOOL, BUT UNITY DETERMINES HOW FAR THEY CAN GO TOGETHER!

Remember those days when we sat in the same classroom, shared notes, played together and dreamed of a brighter future? Those memories created a bond that should not end at graduation.

As schoolmates, we may have different careers, financial positions, opinions and levels of achievement today. But these differences should never become reasons for division, jealousy or resentment.

A strong schoolmates’ association thrives on unity, mutual respect, cooperation and a common purpose. When one member succeeds, we celebrate.

When another faces difficulties, we offer support. When challenges arise, we stand together and seek solutions.

Let us remember that our school connection is more than a shared history; it is an opportunity to build lasting friendships, support one another, empower the younger generation and leave a legacy for our school and society.

Dear schoolmates, let us put aside personal differences and embrace the spirit of togetherness. Nobody needs to stand alone when we can achieve more by standing together.

United we stand, divided we fall! Together, we are stronger.

YOUR SPOUSE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BEG FOR EVERY SMALL SIGN OF CARE!

Sometimes, what keeps love alive is not an expensive gift. It is the feeling that someone remembers, notices and cares.

A spouse may be working hard to provide for the household, yet their partner may still feel emotionally neglected. Another may handle daily responsibilities but rarely express appreciation or affection.

People experience care differently, but no relationship should rely entirely on assumptions about what the other person needs.

The solution: Learn what makes your spouse feel valued. It might be a thoughtful conversation, help with household duties, a sincere compliment, a kind message during a busy day or uninterrupted time together.

Do not assume that living together automatically communicates love. Express appreciation openly, and ask respectfully when you are unsure what your partner needs.

Small acts of care cannot solve every marital problem, but consistent kindness can help create an atmosphere where both partners feel seen and valued.

May God renew love, tenderness and understanding in marriages, and help couples care for one another in meaningful ways. Amen.

WHEN YOUR CHILD MAKES A MISTAKE, TEACH THE LESSON BEFORE GIVING THE LABEL!

Calling a child “lazy,” “useless” or “a disappointment” can hurt their confidence without showing them how to improve.

Children make mistakes while learning. They may break something, forget an assignment, tell a lie or fail to complete a responsibility. These actions need correction, but the child should not be made to believe that one mistake defines their entire character.

The solution: Separate the behaviour from the child. Explain what went wrong, why it matters and how to put it right. Where appropriate, allow the child to repair the damage, apologise or accept a fair consequence.

For example, instead of saying, “You are irresponsible,” explain, “You forgot your duty today. Let us work out how you can remember it tomorrow.”

This approach does not remove discipline. It makes discipline more constructive by teaching accountability, problem-solving and respect for others.

The purpose of parenting is not to raise children who never make mistakes. It is to help them learn how to make better decisions when mistakes happen.

May God give parents wisdom to correct their children with firmness, patience and love. Amen.

SOME FAMILY ARGUMENTS CONTINUE BECAUSE EVERYONE WANTS TO BE HEARD BUT NOBODY WANTS TO LISTEN!

You can win an argument and still lose an opportunity to understand someone you love.

In many homes, a disagreement quickly becomes a competition. One person interrupts, another brings up old mistakes, and soon the original problem is forgotten.

The family is left with hurt feelings instead of a solution.

The solution: Slow the conversation down. Allow one person to explain their concern without interruption. Repeat what you understood before presenting your own perspective. Address the specific problem instead of attacking someone’s character, and take a short break if emotions become overwhelming.

Listening does not mean agreeing with everything. It means giving another person a fair opportunity to explain their experience.

When family members learn to speak honestly without humiliation, even difficult discussions can become opportunities for understanding and growth.

May God help us to choose patience over anger, understanding over assumptions and peace over unnecessary conflict in our families. Amen.

THE FIRST SIGN OF A FAMILY MONEY CRISIS MAY BE WHAT NOBODY IS SAYING!

A household can appear comfortable from the outside while one partner is secretly struggling to pay bills, repay debt or meet basic responsibilities.

Financial pressure becomes even harder when couples hide debts, make major purchases without discussion or assume that one person should carry every burden.

Money problems do not automatically mean a marriage is failing. However, secrecy, blame and unrealistic expectations can make an already difficult situation worse.

The solution: Set aside a calm time to review household income, essential expenses, debts, savings and upcoming responsibilities. Agree on what the family can afford before making major commitments. If income is insufficient, prioritise necessities and seek realistic ways to reduce expenses or increase earnings.

Both partners deserve honest information and respectful treatment, regardless of who earns more. Financial planning should be a shared effort rather than a competition over who contributes the most.

A family does not need to be wealthy to become financially wiser. It needs honesty, cooperation and a willingness to plan within its means.

May God bless every family with wisdom, honest provision and peace in the management of its resources. Amen.
