The judgment was delivered earlier today in Ilorin, the state capital.

Born on 8 December 1999 in Lagos, Nigeria, Ajibade hails from humble beginnings in Mushin and got her start in football at age 13 with FC Robo Queens in the Nigerian Women’s Premier League . Despite societal stereotypes that discouraged girls from playing football, she persevered and developed into a formidable playerHolds a degree in Accounting from Lagos State Polytechnic, followed by a Diploma in Sports Psychology (via Barca Innovation Hub) thanks to online learning during the pandemic .

Became a member of FIFPRO’s Global Player Council in 2023, joining other influential players to represent footballers’ interests globally .

Founder of the grassroots campaign and Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation, which runs tech scholarships (e.g. RASHxPluralcode) for young Nigerians and footballer-centered medical outreach programs .A devout Christian, openly celebrating her faith in matches and outreach events. She wears the sign “Thank You Jesus” under her jersey in goal celebrations .

Known for using her platform to positively influence her community and uplift other young athletes .
