Dear Solar Enthusiast,

Thinking of going solar? Great choice! Before you begin, it is crucial to comprehend your energy requirements to select the appropriate system. Do not worry—we will guide you through it step by step.

Step 1: Calculate Your Total Power Load

Begin by listing all appliances you utilize and their power ratings:

3 Fans × 75W = 225W

2 Tube Lights × 20W = 40W

5 LED Bulbs × 9W = 45W

1 TV × 60W = 60W

✅ Total Load = 370W

Step 2: Add a 25% Safety Margin

To ensure durability and handle power surges:

370W × 1.25 = 462W

---

Step 3: Convert Watts to VA (For Inverter Sizing)

Inverters are rated in VA (Volt-Amps), so convert using the power factor (0.8):

VA = Watts ÷ Power Factor

462W ÷ 0.8 = 578VA

---

Step 4: Factor in Efficiency (Recommended)

Most inverters operate at approximately 80% efficiency. To ensure consistent performance:

578VA × (100 ÷ 80) ≈ 722VA

Recommended Inverter Size: 750VA or 800VA

Pro Tip: Choosing a slightly higher capacity prevents overload and extends system life.
